Chill bro he’s toast now

How you reckon?

If he were good enough to be on a NBA roster, he’d be on a NBA roster.

He over seas some where man

The Grizzlies already have four big men + Tillman and Dwight wouldn’t get playing time over any of them. If you watch games this should be obvious

Grizzlies have a full roster and everyone has a more secure role than Dwight. Grizzlies had Dwight at one point and bought him out. This makes no sense

BC and JJJ act more like forwards most of the time. Tillman has been solid recently, but in general he hasn’t been great for us. In fact, we haven’t even played Tillman most of the season. He’s played in 32 games (and only started 3) and only averaging 3.7 rebounds. I just think more depth as a true back up center could be nice.

BC does not act like a forward if you watch him on offence. Not that it really matters you can’t play Dwight and Clarke - offence would be awful. Tillman doesn’t play because there is no role for him. You can’t have a five big rotation in most games.

Who are you cutting for a centre? Grizzlies have their five big men, their main 3 starters, Tyus, three rookies, Konchar on a LT contract, Ziaire on a rookie contract, and Danny Green who is a good locker room vet + valuable salary.

You can have centre depth with centres who fit the timeline and compliment other players on the team. The FO clearly doesn’t currently value this. Dwight is neither of those and has no place in the league evidently.

Fair enough. I’d cut Tillman if I were to bring in DH. However, I’ve changed my mind. I think the age gap is a good point and I think he’d already be back in the league if he was truly valuable. I’ve changed my mind ab

I think someone with size like Steven Adams to come off the bench and keep up the rebounds would be nice. BC can be that guy. He’s averaging 5.5 rebounds already.

While he may be able to provide some minutes off the bench, I don’t think he’s the veteran presence this group of young players need. Dwight’s always been kind of known as been a goof and in his personal life he’s made some poor decisions. Team needs someone to help instill some discipline/leadership.

Fair enough

Because BC is way better

That may be true but BC thrives as a forward.

I brought him up a week ago, and no one wanted to have the conversation

It’s a solid convo to have. But folks made some good arguments in other comments. I’ve changed my mind. He’s probably not a good fit because of age and roster layout.
