I really enjoyed this movie and even though it was shy of 3 hours, it did not feel as if it dragged on and on. I thought the makeup was amazing and it took me awhile to recognize some of the actors in this stellar cast. The cinematography and special effects were great as well. I saw the original Dune in 1984 and liked the movie, but in my opinion having this two part saga was much more enjoyable in terms of character development. I would recommend this movie to anyone who was a fan of Dune back in the 80's and moviegoers who enjoy dramatic adventures with top notch performances.
