Overall this is an amazing school, yes it does have its downsides, like a the school building being extremely old, but the AP teachers here are amazing! Some of the best teachers include Mr. Wagner (APUSH + APEURO), Mr. Maranville (AP PSYCH), Ms. Hamiliton (APLANG), and Mr. Marsico (AP ART). I could have not asked for a better school.
Dulaney High School provides numerous opportunities for students to build their resumes and prepare for college. There is an internship program which allows seniors to gain experience in their desired careers. There are numerous AP classes which Dulaney offers for students to gain college credit. BCPS has also paid for all students’ exams this year, making it free. Dulaney has an award winning GT music program. Along with this, the sports teams, especially the girls’ sports teams at Dulaney have been extremely successful in the past few years. However, Dulaney does have an old and somewhat decrepit campus. In the tech wing there are holes in the walls, making it very cold during the winter in these areas. There have also been problems with the heat this year which have yet to be fixed. Some of the classrooms get down to 48 degrees, making it hard to focus on lessons. There have been several instances in which the school has either caught on fire due to tech malfunctions or flooded.
Best: getting to know others and able to do activities with them, creating bonds with my teachers, getting honor roll, student of the month, etc.
Bad: fights between others, not understanding teaching, etc.
