Canadian rapper Drake pocketed a $2 million payout by placing a $1million winning bet on the Kansas City Chiefs to beat the Cincinnati Bengals in Sunday's AFC Championship.
Drake's support had become a notorious omen for some sports teams following losing bets on Liverpool, Anthony Joshua and Conor McGregor in recent years.
Then last month, Drake bet $1 million on Argentina to beat France in regulation in the World Cup final. Unfortunately for him, Lionel Messi & Co. beat the French in a dramatic shootout.
Drake's luck improved on Sunday when Kansas City's Harrison Butker won the game on a 45-yard field goal with only seconds remaining. The 23-20 final sends the Chiefs back to the Super Bowl for the third time in four seasons.

On his Instagram story, he revealed that he dropped $1.1m for the Chiefs to beat the Bengals
Drake has experienced some heartache when it comes to dropping high-stakes bets in the past few months.
The rapper recently lost a $1million bet for Argentina to win the 2022 FIFA World Cup final in regular time - which did not happen. He stood to win $2.75m.
In November, Drake threw down $2m worth of Canadian dollars for Israel Adesanya to win UFC 281 over Alex Pereira. Unfortunately for the rapper, Pereira won in the fifth round by a knockout.
In October, Drake waded into the world of both Spanish and English soccer, placing over CA$833,000 on a two-leg parlay for Barcelona to beat Real Madrid and for Arsenal to beat Leeds United.
The Gunners were able to handle the Whites. However, Xavi's side fell to Los Blancos - with Drake losing out on a return of CA$3.9m.
