Christendom Professor Dr. John Cuddeback Launches New Podcast

Christendom College philosophy professor Dr. John Cuddeback has launched a new podcast titled, “The Intentional Household.” Born out of his LifeCraft initiative, Cuddeback’s podcast invites listeners to consider a radical renewal of homelife, focusing on such topics as crafting personal relationships, planting, prayer, and more.

Cuddeback has been teaching, speaking, and writing on the household for years, with a philosophy of household being one of his deep passions. “The Intentional Household” podcast was born out of this passion, with Cuddeback taking a deeper dive into this topic each week. Cuddeback will welcome friends, colleagues, and other guests onto the podcast as they tackle the hard questions together, aiming to make an intentional life more possible for listeners everywhere.

Cuddeback co-hosts “The Intentional Household” with his wife, Sofia, with each episode tackling a different topic related to the household. The first episode of the podcast dropped last week, asking the question: is homesteading for everyone? John and Sofia answer that question early in the podcast, before diving into why they feel this way and how the answer can lead to a more intentional life.

“How do you raise a family and run a household, while at the same time make your marriage what it should be?” asks Cuddeback. “How do you build a culture in your home that’s different from the world around you, and be an active member of the broader community? We can thrive in these trying times, but we must rediscover and reexamine time-tested principles and be intentional in applying them today.”

Cuddeback has taught at Christendom for nearly 30 years now, with his classes continuing to inspire generations of students. His professional writings have appeared in various academic journals and books, including his popular work, True Friendship. He writes for his website, LifeCraft, weekly, bringing ancient wisdom to modern readers, in addition to offering free courses and summer retreat opportunities.
