I was on a trip to Germany and there was a Champions League match in Dortmund. I had never been to a Dortmund match before and I had heard that the atmosphere at the stadium was incredible, so I knew I had to go. I started looking for tickets a bit late, but I eventually found one on a site called Biletwise. I was a bit hesitant at first, but I ended up buying the ticket without any problems. When I got to the stadium, it was huge! It has a capacity of 81,365 and the fans really make the most of it. The atmosphere was amazing and the match was very close.

We went round on Saturday morning.

Fantastic museum with loads of the displays in English as well as German.

Lots about the 2024 Euros as well. Really enjoyed looking round and all the displays they have.

This is a fantastic place. A former mine, brought to life by the excellent tour guide. I didn't find out her name, but she was so engaging! This is on top of the warm welcome I'd received from the lady at reception.

I'd planned to return the next day, but sadly train strikes meant that I was unable to do so.

But from me, 'ein herzliches Dankeschön' der blonden britischen Frau. Zum nächsten Mal!

We loved this park. It is so beautiful and tranquil and yet was very family orientated too. We arrived on a Monday and many of the restaurants were closed. Only one was open. We walked around for hours and relaxed in the lovely Japanese garden section. Well worth a visit but as with many places in Dortmund, it only takes cash.

The tower has a nice observation deck with great views. However Dortmund doesn't really have many sights or landmarks.

I visited the Zoo last April.
It is a nice zoo with a good variety of animals.
    It is recommended to visit.
    I may visit again.

Myself and my husband visited Dortmund for the Christmas market and stayed in a nearby hotel for 3 nights. The market is big with many stalls, food venders and drinking areas. The only thing I found that was lacking was music, none of the drinking stands had any music playing what so ever which I found odd. There was a stage though which had some artist playing but was only early on in the day. The food was excellent and very good value. We ate there each day having the bratwurst, curry wurst and crepes. We also had the beers and mulled wine which where very cheap and went down well! We had a go on the big wheel which was a lot of fun and got a lovely view of the town. Would recommend this a visit

This museum is very interactive and has things for all ages. My only complaint would be the fact pretty much everything was written in German with no translations. It's free to visit and very close to the S-Bahn so worth a visit if you have a few hours spare.

Good variety of shops and a great location. Parking available too. Really appreciated the food court - lots of halal food options. Good quality food and decently priced.

This gallery had several things going for it, enticing me to visit; it was literally steps from my hotel, it was open until 8pm on a Friday, giving me time for a visit after my late afternoon check in, and of course it was free to enter.

When I read other TA reviews describing a “modern art” gallery, I was expecting to see canvases on walls displaying splotches of paint that I wouldn’t have a clue how to interpret. It was nothing like that at all. Instead there were fun, sometimes interactive displays featuring colourful HD video screens, sonic accompaniment, and playful fabric “sculptures”. I still wasn’t too sure how to interpret a lot of it, but it was sure fun to try.

I have a sense that this isn’t an art gallery in a traditional sense, with a set of permanent displays that you’d look at each time you went, but a display space that could well have something different every time you visit. The day I was there, much of the space wasn’t open, but what was there was an interesting way to spend an hour or two, even if you don’t have a great knowledge of modern art.

The site of the former steelworks site of Hoesch and Thyssen Krupp until 1998, then the whole plant was shipped to China. The site was then cleaned up and excavated to form a lake for pleasure and fishing, the site was then developed into (rather expensive) housing and commercial centre. It's a lovely place for a walk and a bit to eat. During work there ruins from the 12th century castle of Hoerde were uncovered.
