KENNEDY - Dorothy "Dottie" (nee Gillooly) Age 86, beloved mother of Kevin (Nancy) Kennedy; grandmother of Natalie and James; aunt of Thomas Petz (Jeanette) and Mary Floriano (Sam), who will always remember her love and strong will. Born in Buffalo, the youngest child of the late Patrick and Margaret Gillooly, she enlisted in the Women's Army Corps at 20, married and lived in Japan, Germany, Washington D.C., and New York City before returning to Buffalo to raise her son. Dorothy is preceded in death by siblings Margaret Petz (George), Kathleen Gillooly, James Gillooly, John Gillooly (Dorothy), Mary Dorr (Edward) and Rita Gillooly, and survived by sister-in-law Dorothy Gillooly. Friends and family may call from 4 to 7 pm on Friday, June 15 at John E. Roberts Funeral Home (West Chapel), 1357 Hertel Avenue, Buffalo, NY. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 16, at 10:00 am in St. Margaret's Church, 1395 Hertel Avenue, Buffalo, NY. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to Jennings Center for Older Adults, Garfield Heights, OH 44125.

We just found out this past weekend about your Mother's passing. We will always remember her days on Colvin Ave. She was always friendly and willing to take the time to see how you were doing. Please accept our heartfelt condolences.
