We love a science museum and this one is good. Sad the theater was not working but loved all the hands on activities, even teenagers played the games.

Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your visit. We apologize that the Space Theater is under maintenance at this time. It is getting a much needed upgrade, which will mean newly added shows as well! This upgrade should be done on 7/21. Please come visit us again soon.

Stopped in with young grand kids and was very impressed with the quality and number of hands on exhibits. There were displays for all age levels and we were able to keep a 2 year old and 6 year old entertained for hours! Would definitely recommend this place to families staying in the area.

Visited on a Sunday just after it opened at noon and practically had the Center to ourselves for the first hour. Like many kids discovery centers there are permanent exhibits/activities and ones that rotate. My girls loved the Run! Jump! Fly! Adventures in Action (rotating) which gave them some gentle physical challenges. There are also numerous hands on activities to learn about scientific principles and the human body. Also there "space theater" does not charge extra and shows scientific movies on a planetarium, type ceiling. While we used out ASTC reciprocal privileges, the center is well worth the prices of admission ($11 adults, $8 kids) and my kids enjoyed it more than than the bigger, more crowed and more expensive Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas (a fracking "thrill ride", really?)

Nice discovery center - small, but enough to hold the kids attention. Center is split into 2 sections and has a theater in the middle. There is an indoor play area for kids which allows them to build with over sized like tinker toys. Outside near the center is a great park and surrounding lake. Smell is terrible outside (perhaps all the ducks?).

We went to this on a fluke to escape the heat. It was incredible! Between the planetarium shows every hour, the hands on activities, and the workers with all the different creatures - it was a huge success. Highly recommended for kids of all ages. (there is even a spot for littles to play)

My kids (age 2 and 5) love the Discovery Center! They have rotating exhibits, so it seems like there is always something new to explore. They have areas for toddlers, preschoolers, and big kids. There are even some evening events for adults. If you want to avoid busloads full of kids on field trips, go at about 2 in the afternoon.

This is a fun place for kids. Lots of items to learn about and a ton of inner action. The price is a little high for the amount of items they have. They do allow for birthday parties and this is a nice feature. A good summer activity for something different to do.

I have a two year old and a 8 month old and i thought it would be to old for my kids but it wasn't. Our two year old had so much fun and our 8 month was into it, crawling around in the toddler area. It was surprisingly interesting for us adults too. Learned about the stars, and body parts. It was a good time and I definitely would go visit again!
