The problem: it's on a direct collision course with Earth. The other problem? No one really seems to care. Turns out warning mankind about a planet-killer the size of Mount Everest is an inconvenient fact to navigate. With the help of Dr. Oglethorpe (Rob Morgan), Kate and Randall embark on a media tour that takes them from the office of an indifferent President Orlean (Meryl Streep) and her sycophantic son and Chief of Staff, Jason (Jonah Hill), to the airwaves of The Daily Rip, an upbeat morning show hosted by Brie (Cate Blanchett) and Jack (Tyler Perry). With only six months until the comet makes impact, managing the 24-hour news cycle and gaining the attention of the social media obsessed public before it's too late proves shockingly comical -- what will it take to get the world to just look up?! Critics Consensus

Don't Look Up aims too high for its scattershot barbs to consistently land, but Adam McKay's star-studded satire hits its target of collective denial square on.

Amy It was a great movie. Excitment, drama, comedy and all round good story. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/24/22 Full Review Keith Smart, timely & well acted. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/24/22 Full Review Karen Great movie. Depicts how life is going on today. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/23/22 Full Review Craig If you believe in the apocalypse, this is the movie for you. Very funny in parts yet very distressing in others. Even though alot of politics are involved, it still made me realize... don't sweat the small things in life. Life is just too damn short. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/22 Full Review SpeedDriven a movie promoting Realism in an accurate portrayal of Life through the direction of vain Outlooks and what if mob wives ruled the world scenarios. haha. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/07/22 Full Review Daniel F Adam McKay did a wonderful job of weaving humor, irony, truth, greed, humanity, and a cry out to save our beloved planet into a film that is touching, funny, and a breathtaking wake up call. The casting was superb, especially Mark Rylance who makes the hair stand up on your neck with his portrayal which encapsulates true corporate insanity. Seeing Cate Blanchett in a new way, let's me know she is a true chameleon. The film is funny, smart and heartbreaking. It is truly great to see it on the big screen since the special effects were grand. Don't miss this film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/24/21 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Jan 31, 2022 Full Review Max Weiss Baltimore Magazine Ultimately, Don't Look Up is more than just mean-spirited and smug. It's aggressively those things -- that is, until that sentimental coda. Rated: 2/4 Jan 6, 2022 Full Review Alison Willmore New York Magazine/Vulture McKay's movies are not particularly pointed in their satire and, as time has gone on, have increasingly settled into their preferred form of a harangue.
