I can’t explain the exact reason I picked Dominican, all I can say is that it felt right. Dominican’s small community means you don’t have to be involved in only one thing. You can be good at sports, involved in leadership, do theatre or campus ministry. I feel seen and important here, which helped me grow into a confident version of myself. I am constantly reminded that there are so many people here that care about me, which is sometimes easy to forget. Why do I care so much that my teachers care about me? Because people and relationships matter more than just about anything else. They remind me of who I am, they lift me up when I’m down, and they truly care about me. This is the way I want to be for other people. Because of the foundation that Dominican has provided, I am confident that I am prepared for what comes next.
Dominican is a great school that has allowed me to grow and exerinec different cultures. The staff is supportive for the most part depending on the need. There are alot of clubs and activities that help to create a community feel where we can engage with students that we may not normally interact with. Overall the school is a great opportunity to grow, learn and thrive. Dominican does a great job at creating a safe and friendly environment to pursue various academic, personal and community goals.
Dominican High School is the epitome of a personalized education. The teachers work extremely hard to provide a rigorous education but also provide each student with the support they need to be personally successful. I'm confident in my daughter's ability to advocate for herself. She has so much support and push for greatness from her teachers.
With so many different clubs to join, she's involved in such a variety of activities. Even as a freshman, she was in the fall play and had lines during the show. Not involved in athletics, there is still a huge variety of clubs to join.
If you are looking for a tailored high school education, rooted in faith, and an experience where your student is recognized every day, this is certainly the place to be.
