2024 Dolphins undrafted free agent tracker

The 2024 NFL draft is in the books, but the Miami Dolphins aren’t done adding rookies. It’s time for the flurry of activity that is undrafted free agency.

As soon as Mr. Irrelevant is announced, every player who wasn’t selected in the NFL draft immediately becomes a free agent. And even though those prospects didn’t hear their name called on the stage in Detroit, it doesn’t mean they have no shot at playing on Sundays.

Cornerback Kader Kohou was a recent discovery in the undrafted ranks by the Dolphins, as was offensive lineman Robert Jones. Long before those additions, some of Miami’s best ever players like Cameron Wake, Larry Little, and Jim Langer were all undrafted players.

Will the Dolphins find another gem this year? We’ll keep track of all their undrafted signings right here, although it’s important to keep in mind that none of these are official until they’ve signed on the dotted line and been announced by the team:

Bayron Matos, OT, South Florida

Matos is a Dominican Republic native who played basketball at New Mexico and South Florida before walking on to the USF football team. He’s listed by NFL.com at 6’7, 313 pounds and he’s a great athlete, but severely lacking in football experience. According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, he’s signing with the Dolphins.

Andrew Meyer, OL, UTEP

According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 in Houston, Meyer is signing with the Dolphins. The former UTEP offensive lineman was listed by the school at 6’2, 303 pounds and played center for the team for four seasons.

Mark Perry, S, TCU

Perry is signing with the Dolphins, according to Aaron Wilson of KRPC 2 in Houston. The 6’0, 215-pound safety received an All-Big 12 honorable mention in 2023 and reportedly ran a 4.37 40-yard dash, per Wilson.

Je'Quan Burton, WR, Florida Atlantic

According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 in Houston, Burton is joining the Dolphins. The 5’10, 187-pound receiver finished his collegiate career with 1,277 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.

Gavin Hardison, QB, UTEP

Hardison is signing with the Dolphins, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. The 6’2, 206-pound quarterback had his final season with the Miners cut short by an injury that required Tommy John surgery.

Storm Duck, CB, Louisville

Duck is signing with the Dolphins, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. The 6’1, 200-pound cornerback received Second Team All-ACC honors in 2022 while he was with North Carolina.

Grayson Murphy, DL, UCLA

Murphy is joining the Dolphins, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. The 6’3, 260-pound defensive lineman transferred from North Texas and recorded 18 tackles for loss and 10 sacks in two seasons at UCLA.

Isaiah Johnson, DB, Syracuse

Johnson is signing with the Dolphins, according to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald. The 6’3, 205-pound cornerback ran an unimpressive 4.64 40-yard dash at the combine, but could potentially transition to safety in the NFL.

Matthew Jones, OL, Ohio State

Jones is signing with the Dolphins, according to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald. The 6’4, 315-pound lineman spent most of his time with the Buckeyes at guard, but slid over to center for his final game.

Leonard Payne Jr., DL, Colorado

Payne is joining the Dolphins, according to David Furones of the Sun Sentinel. The 6’3, 300-pound former Fresno State lineman joined Colorado in 2023 and recorded three sacks with a forced fumble.

Hayden Rucci, TE, Wisconsin

The Wisconsin football program tweeted that their former tight end is joining the Dolphins. Rucci spent the majority of his career as a blocking tight end and was credited by PFF with allowing only two pressures on 180 pass blocking snaps in 2023.

Jordan Colbert, S, Rhode Island

Colbert signed with the Dolphins, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 in Houston. The Rhode Island strong safety is 6’2, 214 pounds who reportedly recorded a 39.5-inch vertical at his pro day.

Geoffrey Cantin-Arku, LB, Memphis (tryout)

Cantin-Arku will attend the Dolphins’ rookie minicamp in hopes of earning a contract, according to John Hodge of 3DownNation. The Canadian linebacker was listed by Memphis at 6’3, 240 pounds and received an All-AAC honorable mention in 2023.

Mario Kendricks, DL, Virginia Tech (tryout)

Kendricks was invited to participate in the Dolphins’ rookie minicamp, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 in Houston. The 6’0, 293-pound lineman put up impressive testing numbers and is reportedly set to attend the Chiefs’ rookie minicamp too.

Samson Evans, RB, Eastern Michigan (tryout)

Evans was invited to attend rookie minicamp with the Dolphins, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 in Houston. Evans had 27 rushing touchdownss and two passing touchdowns in his last two seasons at EMU.

Quentin Bivens, DT, Southern Miss (tryout)

Bivens has been invited to attend the Dolphins’ rookie minicamp, according to NFL Draft Diamonds. The former Ole Miss tackle played the last two seasons at Southern Miss where he recorded five sacks.

Jalen Sami, DT, Michigan State (tryout)

Sami will participate in the Dolphins’ rookie minicamp, according to Michigan State. The defensive tackle was listed by the Spartans at a massive 6’7, 330 pounds and spent the first five seasons of his collegiate career at Colorado.

Noah Tumblin, CB, San Diego State (tryout)

Tumblin is set to attend the Dolphins and Chiefs rookie minicamps, according to SDSU. Tumblin is a 6’2 corner who earned All-Mountain West honors in 2023.

Tyler Bentley, DT, Pittsburgh (tryout)

Bentley will attend the Dolphins’ rookie minicamp, according to Jerry DiPaola of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. Listed at 6’2, 300 pounds, Bentley recorded 10.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks in his collegiate career.

Bradley Ashmore, OL, Vanderbilt (tryout)

Ashmore will attend the Dolphins’ rookie minicamp, according to Tanner Phifer of XPandSports. The 6’6, 303-pound lineman was a team captain for the Commodores where he played right tackle for three seasons and right guard in 2022.

Aaron Frost, OL, Arizona State (tryout)

Frost was invited to attend the Dolphins’ rookie minicamp, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 in Houston. After playing tackle and guard at Nevada, Frost transferred to ASU in 2023 and made starts at both left guard and right guard.

La'Damian Webb, RB, South Alabama (tryout)

Webb will attend the Dolphins’ rookie minicamp, according to South Alabama. The former Florida State running back was a two-time All-Sun Belt selection at South Alabama.

Nick Correia, OL, Rhode Island (tryout)

Correia received offers to attend the Dolphins and Seahawks rookie minicamps, according to David Creed of The Nantucket Current. Listed at 6’6, 330 pounds, Correia made 48 consecutive starts at right guard for URI.
