Quick Precis:
Gu An Xin is a delivery girl who accidentally knocked over the heir to a large corporation. The heir is Ling Yue who is a bit paranoid and a hypochondriac.
He asked Gu An Xin to take responsibility to what she did and therefore, she was forced to bring him home and look after him for a while as he’s got amnesia?!!!
Over time, the two souls fall in love crossing the great divide of family backgrounds and outlook in life.

Episode 1 & 2
Wow!
This is a fluffy idol drama but in my opinion, it is cut above the rest.
Firstly, the female lead does not start as annoying nor stupid. She is independent, self-reliant, and capable, not a pushover. She is also kind and gentle and gorgeous! Lu Si is winsome! Also, her wardrobe was chosen well. Though she had short shorts, it was not like some actresses that you could see what they had for breakfast. Lu Si has a perfect stature/figure, to carry out even the simplest outfit to look nice. She looks so good in her delivery overalls. You could literally dress her in a sack and she would like lovely because despite not being tall, she is well proportioned.
Secondly, the male lead’s character was not too arrogant either. He is tall and handsome and fair. (The days of tall, dark, and handsome is so over, at least in dramaland) He showed her his vulnerable side and she gets him the way he gets her.
Apparently, they have a similar back story where their adoptive family did not really want them,
Love An Xin and Ling Yue already.
Anyway, Ling Yue is the Second Son of three of the Ling family. But it gets complicated because Lin Yue is an adopted son.
Being aware that he was adopted, he put up with a lot of torture and bullying from his nasty older brother, who was jealous of him especially when it looked like Ling Yue will be the chosen heir to Ling’s real estate corporation.
Still feeling that he owed it to his older brother, he agreed to a plan (I think, Ling Yue eluded to this when he was telling a story of three princes to Gu An Xin) that he would disappear for a while, thus, his older brother will take over from him as president of the company)
His brother sent some hoods to follow him around.
But it went out of control when Ling Yue’s black Mercedes ended up toppling in the sea because of a faulty brake.
His older brother was shocked but not overly.
Ling Yue managed to crawl up from the sea into the highway and luck or bad luck would have it, he was thrown off his feet when Gu An Xin crashed into him as he was in the middle of the road on a darkish rainy night.
Gu An Xin took him to the hospital and was assured that he was not suffering from any serious injuries aside from a broken ankle or something.
Gu An Xin was telling Ling Yue that he was ok when he grabbed her so he suddenly to use her as a human screen from the hoods who were in the hospital looking for him.
A nurse accidentally nudged An Xin, who ended up kissing Ling Yue.
She was so surprised, she slapped him and he became unconscious.
When he woke up, he said that he doesn’t know who he was.
The doctor said that it can happen especially when he hit his head.
Gu An Xin felt so guilty remembering crashing to him and then she slapped him as well.
Ling Yue said that he wanted compensation, he wanted a room at the Hilton and a physio.
Having spent most of her money on his hospital bill, she convinced him that he could stay with her. Her home from home, much better than the hotel as he has her 24/7.
He was convinced easily after he made her sign an IOU that she still had to pay him 300K in compensation.
I love them, they have a lot of chemistry and he tells her that she was beautiful and delicious. Nice!
Living together was not easy. He did try really hard to be useful but he always ended up ruining everything.
He blew up the microwave because he used something metal to heat his food. He would go to a shop and would topple their merchandise.
Then one day, she came home to find the house knee-deep in flood. Instead of screaming at him as you would expect, she was calm and kind because she saw Ling Yue on the couch trembling with fear.
He remembered how his older brother purposely pushed him in a pond. He thought he was going to die.
An Xin is a supergirl! In no time at all, the house is almost back to normal as if it was never flooded. I want to know her secret! 🤪🤪🤪
An Xin got an idea of taking Ling Yue’s photo and post it as a missing person but Ling Yue deleted the photo and insisted that he did not like it.
What he like was for her to help him in the bath. She saw that he was really fit. So tried to be discreet and not be tempted as he has a male god body. LOL
With a bathroom, soapy water on the floor, of course, the trope of her falling into the bathtub on top of him would happen. And it did.
I love this drama. I watch two episodes without feeling any kind of ennui or wanting to fast-forward it. In fact, I had to rewind it a few times to make sense of the google translation.
Can’t wait for the next episode.
Episode 3
They had a cute moment in the bathtub which made them realised that they were a boy and a girl sharing an apartment.
An Xin’s work manager is getting frisky, telling her that he fancies her for a long time. He gave her a huge bouquet of roses which was seen by Ling Yue.
Ling Yue pretended that he was allergic to the flowers and that it brings in the mosquitoes so she had to throw them away, rather willingly.
This episode is rather mysterious. It looked like everything might be pre-planned that Ling Yue wanted to find An Xin as his father had left her 5 percent share in New World. Ling Yue needed those shares so that he could make his position stronger in the company.
Ling Yue had been in contact with his PA all along and knew what was going on. He gave a specimen for her to check whether An Xin was his adopted father real daughter.
He was relieved when the DNA test result proved otherwise.
An Xin felt uneasy at work because she had a feeling that Ling Yue had left her and now living a vagrant life in the streets.
So she asked for leave and went searching for Ling Yue.
She did find him in the end and was so relieved to see him again, though she told him off for leaving the house without telling her.
Episode 4
An Xin’s friend Youyou came to stay without prior notice. Not knowing her, Ling Yue bound her hands until An Xin had arrived.
Youyou did not mind. She said Ling Yue was gorgeous. She asked a favour if Ling Yue could pretend as her boyfriend for one day in front of her parents. They had been forcing her to marry but she was not ready so she had to pretend that she has a boyfriend so they stop pressuring her.
An Xin was surprised when Ling Yue agreed but he said he wanted An Xin to go with them.
An Xin was a little jealous when Ling Yue said that he loves his girlfriend very much.
An Xin went drinking with Ling Yue and Youyou. Anxin got so drunk and when they got home, she lied on the settee and gave her can of drink to Ling Yue and he drunk from it.
Youyou was watching that indirect kiss.
An Xin then declared that Ling Yue was hers.
The next morning Ling Yue asked her what she said about him the night before.
He was very disappointed when An Xin said she could not remember.
Ling Yue did makeover to An Xin’s flat. He made the balcony safer, bought her a bigger television and an up-to-the-minute computer. He also gave her 200k. He said he won in the scratch card.
An Xin’s co-workers came to have dinner at her flat and met Ling Yue. He told them that he’s An Xin’s live-in boyfriend.
Manager Du was very upset about it.
Manager Du was drunk and accosted An Xin telling her that he really liked her. He would not take no for an answer.
Episode 5
Manager Du who was high on alcohol was sexually harassing An Xin.
Anxin was able to lock herself in a room but Manager Du was too hyper and managed to kicked in the door.
Poor Anxin was too traumatised she was blacking out.
Thank goodness, Ling Yue arrived on time to save the day and save Anxin.
When she came to, she was already in her bedroom.
Lingyue told her to quit her job and he will raise her. Aww so cute.
But his cuteness dimmed a bit when she realised he spent 125 on taxi fare to bring her home.
When she went back to work the next day, An Xin was wary but she saw that her colleagues looking curiously at her, they told her that Manager Du had been sacked.
Looking at some comments about Lu Si’s pairing with Liu Te, I read that they don’t have chemistry. Well, I can see loads of chemistry, in fact, it is oozing with it in this episode. Especially the part when he pulled her towards him on the settee. They then had lots of lips kissing and biting. So cute.
Unfortunately, we have not seen the last of Manager Du.
Because he can’t find a job, he was blaming An Xin for it and accosted her once again.
Ling Yue who was in a business suit saved her but almost got battered for it.
Misunderstanding Alert here: An Xin saw Ling Yue going into a hotel with a bunch of sunflowers. He was then followed by his sexily dressed assistant. Anxin found out that they booked a room.
Later on, she heard from Ling Yue that he was not coming home for the night. What he did not tell her was that he was gatecrashed a meeting where Ling Fang will be made as the new president of Lingshi Group.
Episode 6
Ling Fang was thwarted from his ambition of becoming a president because it got found out that he was cutting corners by ignoring a major consideration in the real estate business so the shareholders unanimously voted him out.
As revenge, Ling Fang told Ling Yue that he knew about Anxin and as he had done before he will take everything LIng Yue likes and have.
Ling Yue warned Ling Fang off.
Poor Anxin was missing Ling Yue already.
While he was away, he made sure that Anxin is better off by having arranged for her company not to allow overtime plus having a shuttle bus to drop workers near home. He also arranged to make the walkways to her apartment to be well lit as she suffers from nyctophobia.
Gu Xin Er saw that Ling Yue is back. She had been after him since forever. However, Ling Pei has a crush on her.
While Ling Yue was absent in her life, Gu AnSheng came back to her life. Gu Ansheng is her adopted brother.
Episode 7
It was Senior Gu’s birthday and he was convinced to allow Anxin to attend the party. Auntie Hong called Anxin about it.
Ansheng took Anxin shopping the next day and bought her a strapless white cocktail dress.
The party was already in full swing when Anshend with Anxin arrived. Anxin had a stilted conversation with her adopted family.
While Anxin was trying the nibbles at. the buffet table, Ling Fang turned up and introduced himself. He said that his father gave her a 5 percent share in the Lingshi Group.
Anxin told him that she doesn’t know what she was talking about.
He was still bugging her when in walked Ling Yue who went straight to Anxin.
She wonderingly called him Xiaobai but he formally introduced himself as Ling Yue.
Anxin was very upset because she realises that he had been lying to her.
He tried to explain then asked her to dance but she opted to dance with Ling Fang. I must admit Ling Fang is quite adorable in a hopeless nasty kind of way.
Ling Fang and Anxin were dancing when he mentioned again the 5 percent and that was the reason why Ling Yue went to meet her. He continued on about her mother and his father and that was really what pushed Anxin into castigating Ling Fang in a loud manner.
She had had enough and was just leaving when a pitcher of water was thrown to her face.
It was one of the waitresses who Anxin recognised as Yuguo, a friend from long ago. It looks like Yugo felt that Anxin did her something extremely wrong.
Anxin asked Yogou to go somewhere quiet and talked.
Ansheng and Ling Yue tried to go with them but Anxin told them to leave her and Yogou alone.
Ling Yue and Ansheng was not comfortable about the situation and went to see the CCTV. They just managed to see that Yoguo picked up a knife.
And she used it to stab Anxin but Anxin was able to evade it. She then saw that a big bag from the top of the locker was about to fall on Yogou so Anxin pushes her away. The bag fell on her instead which left her unconscious.
It was like that when Ling Yue, the doctor and Ai Li (Ling Yue’s female bodyguard) found Anxin.
Ling Yue picked her up to take her to the hospital but Ansheng turned up and said that he will carry his sister.
Ling Yue would not let Anxin go because ‘she is his person’. For a couple of minutes, the two strutted against each other. One said ‘i’m her brother” the other “She’s my person”
Anyway, the Gu family arrived and told Ansheng to come back to the party as Anxin had taken too much of their time.
At the hospital, when Anxin was finally conscious, Ling Yue told her about everything that he was not lame or lost his memory, he lied about almost everything but not about his feelings about her.
Still, when he left, Anxin scaped the hospital room by tying blanket sheets together. But she has to be helped out by Ansheng. who also turned up.
At the Ling Mansion, Senior Ling asked Ling Yue whether he was toying with Anxin because of the 5 percent.
Ling Yue said he was not.
Senior Ling warned him that he would not be too happy if he was because Anxin might not be his daughter but Anxin’s mother was important to him. When his business was not going great, Jin Ling, the mother, stood like a benefactor to him.
Ling Yue went to Anxin’s apartment after he found out that she had left the hospital.
He had another strutting moment with Ansheng.
But in the end, Ling Yue left because Anxin does not want him in the house.
Ansheng told Anxin that he was back and would look after her and will support her against anyone.
Ling Yue was investigating Yuguo.
Episode 8
An Xin woke up one day and found her landlady in her apartment ordering moving men to pack AnXin’s things.
An Xin was flabbergasted because she did not have much notice about what was going on.
Her landlady just gave her a cursory explanation that she had sold the apartment and the new ower was moving in.
An Xin was left outside with her boxes with nowhere to go still in her shortie pajamas on. Surely she had enough time to pull on jog bottoms at least. 🤪
Anyway, she was feeling sorry for herself when a coat was dropped on her defeated shoulders. It was her brother Ansheng coming to her rescue.
Ansheng moved her into his townhouse apartment, which did not go unnoticed to Ling Yue.
He was visiting her while Ansheng was in the shop.
Ansheng found Ling Yue when he got back behaving rather familiar to An Xin when he got back to the apartment.
Ling Yue had his hands on An Xin’s shirt collars.
Ansheng beat up Ling Yue, who did not put up a fight.
Later on, Ling Yue said that he was glad that he got beaten up because he saw that An Xin cares for him as she stopped her brother from hitting him further.
Episode 9
Ling Yue rescued Anxin from Ling Fang who had been harassing Anxin.
Anyway, Ling Yue was jealous of his brother and told Anxin to stay away from him.
He also asked Anxin again to became his girlfriend.
Despite allowing him to shower her with kisses, she still declined to make it official with him.
Anyway, he invited her to meet the parents.
Anxin was surprised at first at how fast it was going but Ling Yue told her that his father especially wanted to meet her.
On their way, Ling Yue presented her with a couple watch.
She was welcomed warmly by the family. She also noticed that Gu Xin’er was there.
During dinner, she presented Ling Senior with her mother’s favourite paintbrush which he seemed to appreciate.
But not to be outdone, Gu Xin’er also presented a gift to Ling Senior. It was a painting which she expound on.
Ling Senior saw the look on Anxin and asked her what she was thinking.
Anxin explained that the painting was not like what Xin’er said it to be. blah blah blah.
Senior Ling agreed and told his butler to hang the painting in the toilet. LOL
Ling Yue prepared a romantic setting in the garden by the pond for Anxin but nasty Ling Fang had sabotaged it. Toppling the piano and everything.
But Anxin did not mind and she had a dance with Ling Yue.
Later on Ling Yue brought her back home to her original flat. It was just like before she was forcibly forced out by her landlady except for the many fairy lights hanging everywhere.
Ling Yue told her that he was her new tenant and he gave her a contract that says he was not allowed to sell it. Violation of the contract would mean she will get the apartment as compensation.
I love Anxin. She is not like normally an idol heroine that she gives in at a sign of trouble and allow herself to be maltreated. Anxin can stand up for herself.
Episode 10
Anxin is leaving the life. She had just moved back to her old apartment which saddened Ansheng a little bit.
She has a devoted boyfriend, who adores her. Their hugging each other is so natural to look at. Lu Si is so adorable, turning into a very capable young actress.
Unfortunately, Ling Yue’s adoration gone beyond what she was comfortable with.
She had just gotten a job as a cartoonist and was excited to be part of the groove.
She worked very hard, doing overtime while Ling Yue stayed outside.
Then she was ecstatic when she saw her cartoon top of the chart.
She was still happy from it when she overheard her colleague gossiping about her, how she got her job so easily, and then her work trending. They said that she has a backer who bought raw data so her work gets to the top of the reading list.
Poor Anxin was crashed. She knew that there is only one that could get her a job and make her work trends.
She went to Ling Yue, who admitted that he did do it for her because he thought a better decent working environment was better rather than cooped up in her bedroom drawing.
Anxin asked him that what he did was far from decent. She wanted to achieve success by her own accord and slowly. What he did was to trample in the pride of her own work. She asked that they take a break and speak later on.
Ling Yue did not want them to break even for a minute but she had made her mind up.
Ling Yue did not give up easily. He was watching over her.
Anxin received a text where Yuguo would be. Anxin immediately went to Bishu Village.
At the same time, Ling Yue must have raced to the village like a bat out of hell because he was able to stop Anxin from going in the shack where Yogou and Xin’er ready to beat her up.
When then finally enter the room, it was empty with only the curtain from an open window blowing in the wind.
It looks like it takes five minutes to get to Bishu Village but it takes hours to get back home. LOL
It started raining and the road became quite dangerous to navigate so they stay in an inn. There was only one bedroom available so they were forced to stay together in one room.
Ling Yue was to sleep on the floor and Anxin will take the bed. But a pesky cockroach changed all that. They ended up in the same bed but with a buffer between them.
Ling Yue asked if they could make up.
Anxin asked him if he knew what he had done wrong.
He told her that he made decisions for her without consulting her, he promised he will never do it again. He will just be there to support her in the future.
They made up and ended up making out rather passionately. 🤗🤗🤗
Highlight: Ling Yue biting on the button of Anxin while in bed. Aww sexy.
Episode 11
Poor Ansheng found out what his sister had been doing the whole night with Ling Yue, who had the smile of a Cheshire cat.
Anxin was shyly contented as well which only made Ansheng more annoyed.
He told Anxin to be careful of Ling Yue. This warning did not come too soon because Gin Lin’er was up to her old tricks.
She was doing a partnership deal with the Lingshi Group. She managed to inveigle herself into the backseat of Ling Yue’s care with him to discuss business. But she pretended to help remove something caught in his hair. Coincidentally a paparazzi managed to capture the moment and started trending that the two were in a relationship.
Anxin was with Ansheng in his car, trying to cheer her because she was finding it hard to get another job. She looked into her mobile and saw the intimate photo of Lin’er and Ling Yue.
Anxin was being driven by Ansheng to see Ling Yue when they met Ling’er, who made the whole situation to be a source of more misunderstanding between Anxin and Ling Yue. Ling’er did not miss the opportunity to tell Anxin that she was closer to Ling Yue that she could ever imagine. In fact she even chose the perfume that Ling Yue gave to Anxin.
This was too much of Anxin who was driven to the seaside by Ansheng.
Ling Yue had seen the photo with Ling’er and thought immediately of Anxin who he could not contact on the phone. He asked his manager to remove the photo online and issue a declaration that he and Ling’er had nothing going between them. It was all business.
Anxin and Ansheng were frolicking in the water when Lihg Yue found them.
Anxin was too upset to see him but then Lingyue collapsed when he stood near the water.
When he woke up, he was in the hospital with Anxin keeping vigil or sleeping vigil next to him.
He confessed that he has a phobia about water when his brother threw him on the pond when they were both little. He had to take medication for panic attacks.
Anxin was so overwhelmed with pity with him and cried for the young Ling Yue, how he might have suffered.
OMG, there is eally such smashing chemistry. It is so believable that they are into each other in a big way. Awww Hao Du, what happened”
Episode 12
LIng Fang has been doing the dirty on New Way. He created a company that would rival New Way’s newest computer technology which was ‘stolen’ from New Way.
But LIng Fang’s plot did not succeed because Ling Yue started buying the stocks from shareholders who got an anonymous message that Freite is overhyped with no substance.
Anxin met a man, Shou Lei, who became her partner in the cartoon studio. You You also became a part of their new company.
Ling Yue was hoping to take Anxin camping but YouYou and Shou Lei wanted to tag along. Half towards the camping site, they ran into Ling Pang who was with Xin’er who said that they were also going camping.
Ling Pang was unhappy because he knew Xin’er was so hang up with his brother and he was right because she was obsessing about where Ling Yue and Anxin would go in the camping site.
Anyway, despite the many hangers-on, Ling Yue and Anxin enjoyed themselves.
Episode 13
Ansheng was obsessed with Anxin. He waited for her in his car all night long until she arrived the next morning from her camping trip with the gang.
Then he drove home with Xin’er later, she asked him why he continues to protect Anxin when they are all grown up.
At home, his mother asked him if he was perhaps leaning towards liking, not the opposite sex that is why he doesn’t have a girlfriend?
To stop his mother from speculating further more, Ansheng agreed to a blind date with the daughter of Aunt Chen. It turned out that the daughter was Yoyo, who was so happy and proposed that they pretend to be in a relationship so both their parents stop nagging at them.
Anxin was doing well with her comic, Please Feel At Ease, Your Highness. It was making a profit that when she got paid she could not almost believe how much it was.
Her popularity has a downside though. She is constraint by what her fans wanted. Because of it, she was having a mental block. To top it, she got a fright when she received a package of a bloodied artificial hand. It was sent by Yougou but Anxin did not know.
Then she read that Ling Yue had some problems of his own or at least, New Way. A bug had corrupted New Way’s system and Gu Xin’er’s new company, Cai NIo.
Anxin rushed to New Way immediately to give her support to Ling Yue.
But she found him in the middle of what appears as a risque moment with Gu Xin’er. Xin’er was on top of him while he was sitting comfortably in an armchair.
What to think, Anxin?!!!
Episode 14
Anxin did not doubt Ling Yue for a second. She told Xin’er that she does not give away her property.
But Xin’er is like a limpet, a barnacle. She refused to give up for two things. She likes Ling Yue but she likes a competition with Anxin more. She won’t lose to her so she was determined to separate them by using emotional blackmail.
She went to visit Anxin at her home. This was after she had it published that an engagement between her and Ling Yue was imminently to be announced.
Anxin said that she knew it was fake news.
Xin’er told her that it might be true or false but she, Xin’er, was the only one that could help Ling Yue from all his business problems. And if Anxin really care for Ling Yue, she would stand aside.
Xin’er started insulting Anxin but Ansheng turned and told Xin’er that she should stop.
Seeing the cake that Ansheng had brought for Anxin, Xin’er only became vindictive and told her brother that all he cared about was Anxin. She was his sister too and yet he doesn’t buy her cakes. At this point, I wanted to be his sister or even mother as well and buy lots of cakes. LOL
Anyway, Xin’er left while Ansheng tried to persuade Anxin to break up with Ling Yue as he was bad news.
Anxin told him that she was ok and ushered him out.
Ansheng remembered that he had a movie date with Yoyo. Instead, when he saw Yoyo, he told her that he would confront Ling Yue instead for playing with both his sisters’ hearts.
Yoyo said she would go with him for Anxin.
During the confrontation, Yoyo gleaned that Ansheng’s feeling for Anxin was more than that of a brother.
And when she asked him about it later, he did not deny it.
So Yoyo said she likes him as well and was glad that she was telling him. She then said goodbye to her puppy love.
Yoyo cheered up immediately when she attended her idol’s autograph signing. Zhou Lei was there to support her.
The next day, Anxin went to see an exhausted Ling Yue. He was even too tired to eat the crap 🙂 she brought him 😝. To liven him up, she said they should get a breath of fresh air and took him to a fairground, where they had so much fun trying all the attractions.
Afterwards, she took him back to his office building and gave him hugs. She was so clingy even Ling Yue who was not complaining at all, mentioned it.
It looks like Anxin will be leaving Ling Yue.
Episode 15
Anyway, Ansheng finally confessed his feelings to Anxin who told him that it was not mutual.
She was too concerned that Ling Yue ended up in the hospital. When she went to see him, she overheard that he was having so much trouble with Japan, New York, etc. It was too much for him to cope with.
With this in mind, she packed her bags and left.
After the business shenanigans of the Gu Group, Lingshi Group almost went on the brink of bankruptcy, and yet Ling Ye managed to pull them back into normalcy.
The youngest Ling, Ling Pei, did not care what the Gu did because he was too upset that Gu Xin’er was sad. Seriously this boy is a waste of space as his dad thinks of him. Ling Pei does not do anything but stalk Xin’er, who was only too happy to keep him dangling like a toy.
Anyway, most of the scenes in this episode are fillers, we don’t really want to see LIng Pei driving again with Xin’er. Boring
But the ending of the episode was mysterious. Anxin went back to her old family house. She was ok to start with but then she started remembering her mother reaching for the moon from their balcony and fell to her death. She was only a young girl then. (I think the cute girl was the same one who played little Lu Miao in Flourish in Time.)
Ling Yue was missing her so much and his friend Dr Xiao was very concerned about him.
Episode 16
Gu Xin’er took advantage of Anxin being gone to go visit Ling Yue hoping to have a rebound relationship with him.
Ling Yue was not interested at all. He told her to disappear together with the tiny cake she brought with her.
Poor Gu Xin’er was very downhearted but downstairs waiting for her was her stalker, Ling Pei, who said to her to just give up on Ling Yue. He should also tell her that though her Chanel earrings are gorgeous, she doesn’t have to wear them all the time. Seriously normal girls wear different earrings on different days.
Anxin was taking a walk outside when she saw a little girl, she then started remembering what happened to her as a little girl as she started feeling faint.
She was abducted by a child trafficker and was locked up in a warehouse with a boy called Yuan Yuan. They were tied together but they managed to get away and get rescued by the police.
Later on, Yuanyuan said that she could ask him anything and he will try to give it to her.
Young Anxin gave him a peck on the cheek. She said that she was taking advantage of him like they do on tv. So cute
They then got separated but Yuanyuan told her that he will come back for her.
When Anxin came to, she was lying on her bed with Ling Yue looking at her.
She realised that he was Yuanyuan and he had known of her all along.
He said he knew who she was when he saw her photo as a young girl with her mother. He also confessed that he did not break his leg or lose his memory.
Cute times follow like Ling Yue being absolutely terrified of dogs even with a puppy which made Anxin giggled.
They were in the living room of her mother’s house when Ling Yue saw the television and video player recorder.
Anxin remembered her mother telling her that the man on the video was her father. She went to looked for the VHS to play but it was corrupted.
She then looked through her mother’s little case of memorabilia where photos were carefully tucked away, one of which was her mother with someone whose head was ripped off.
Ling Yue found the missing part under the floorboard. It was Gu Yuan Chao.
Anxin went to see Gu Yuan Chao, though aging, was still as nasty as ever.
He categorically denied that he was her father because he said he had DNA test down when she was born.
Her mother became crazy so he put Anxin to an orphanage and then when her mother died he took her back from the orphanage as a favour to her kind mother.
Anxin said that he killed her mother. He pushed from the balcony with his own treachery.
Gu Yuan Chao told her to leave.
Meanwhile, Ling Yue asked her to move in with him in his apartment.
Episode 17
This is cuteness to begin like when they went shopping, she thought that he bought condoms but it was really mints. Their double entendre was amusing. It got funnier when they actually talking of different things.
But their lovely doviness did turn rather sour immediately because Anxin was jealous of Xin’er.
She was thinking that Ling Yue was really had deeper feelings for Xin’er.
She came to this conclusion because the passcode to his apartment, which is now their apartment was 1104. She was curious where it came from. Then like a curious girlfriend, she went looking into his picture file in his computer and found a photo of him kissing Xin’er on the cheek.
She then remembered Xin’er birthday as November 4th or April 11. LOL
She asked Yoyo and Zhou Lei if she should give way to Xin’er.
Yoyo said no. She’s got Ling Yue then hold on to him.
But Anxin continues to worry.
Meanwhile, Dr Xiao and Ai Li were getting closer, romantically.
There is a goodbye scene between Anxin and Ansheng and it was so sad.
Ling Yue saw Ansheng who was just leaving.
When Ling Yue asked Anxin who came visiting.
She said no one but Ling Yue said he saw Ansheng.
Anxin said if you knew already why asked. It would have gone really sour but Ling Yue produced a ‘pasalubong’ for her. It was a slice of creamy cheesecake.
Ling Yue said that she doesn’t have to like if she sees her brother in the future but he would prepare that she does not see Ansheng again.
Anxin said she had some questions to ask. Firstly who does he talk with happily every night on the phone?
Apparently, it was Dr Xiao who was having a mental meltdown because he like Ai Li so much and he was having problem chasing her.
Second question: Why was Xin’er sending him something in the post to their apartment. Ling Yue said he sent back whatever it was to Xin’er without opening it.
Anxin was shocked. She asked if he was not curious what it was? Actually Xin’er refused to give up and sent him an album of them when they were younger and friendlier.
And the third question; What was the 0411 about. Ling Yue smiled and pretended to be shocked that she does not remember. It was their anniversary when he promised her that he will come back for her when they were children and when they first met.
So cuteeeeee. Liu Te and LuSi have amazing chemistry.
Episode 18
Anxin and her company had been commissioned to create a logo/mascot for New Way. It was hard going at first but Anxin would not accept suggestions from Ling Yue.
She said she would like to do it herself but he could help her by standing still while she works,
He would do anything for her.
Anxin finally found inspiration from a sleeping Ling Yue. She thought he reminds her of a cross between an armadillo and a hedgehog.
Her creation was a hit and it was passed by New Way.
Ling Yue took the time to make everyone know that they were in a relationship.
Ling Sheng persevered on his courtship of Xin’er. He wined and dined her.
When she woke, she was in a hotel bed and obviously spent the night with Ling Sheng.
Xin’er told him that they were both adults and he doesn’t have to take responsibility for her.
Poor Ling Sheng was crushed.
Yoyo and Zhou Wei started dating. They were quite cute.
Now, Ansheng now works for the G Group and planned to go head to head with New Way.
Episode 19
Anxin and Ling Yue were at war because she thought he did not trust her with was going on in his business.
When he said that it was because the issue was directly had something to do with her brother and did not want really to make her choose.
She then said that she knew her brother. They were together for a long time and he would not do something really fishy.
This only made Ling Yue upset because her implication was that she trusts her brother more than she trusts because of the length of time. He said that trust should not be measured. He then slept in the sofa and then the next few days he stayed in the office.
Anxin went to Dr Xiao, the nearest person to Ling Yue. But her visit to Dr Xiao resulted in her finding out that he used to work at Maria First Hospital.
He offered her to contact his mentor Dr Jiang to reevaluate her paternity test.
Dr Xiao came back to her immediately with the result of his findings.
Apparently, Yang Hong, Anxin’s stepmother had something to do with the tampering of her paternity test.
Yang Hong used to work with Dr Jiang in the clinic so he did her a favour with testing a different specimen to determine Anxin’s paternity issue.
The result which said Anxin was not her father’s daughter droved her mother insane and killed herself.
Yang Hong then blackmailed Dr Jiang to make Yougo’s accident look like not an accident and that Anxin was the perpetrator.
As a backstory, thinking that his adopted daughter was too unruly, Gu Yuan Chao threw Anxin out of the house.
Anxin went to see Yang Hong who was thrown off by what Anxin was saying.
Episode 20
Xin’er used Ansheng mobile phone to text Ling Yue to meet up in the old school auditorium.
Thinking that he was meeting Ansheng, Ling Yue was surprised to see Xin’er instead.
Xin’er was hoping that the venue would rekindle the attraction between her and Ling Yue. But she was disabused of the idea, because Ling Yue said that she was ever a dear friend to him, nothing else.
Xin’er said that she had loved him for ten years and was sure that without Anxin, they would have ended together.
Ling Yue told her that she had never entered into his mind as a girlfriend.
He tried to get out but she told him that she had locked them in and also there is no signals for mobile phones.
So he was for the time being stuck with her but not for long because Anxin turned up when Ai Li called for help to find Ling Yue.
Anxin used the mobile app Ling Yue installed in her phone to see wherever he was and vice versa.
Xin’er could see how the two were really devoted to each other and she lost again.
Outside was her stalker who told her to give up her one-sided love as his brother is not worth it. She was too good for him.
Seeing that she was really upset, he told her that they did not really sleep together; a maid changed her clothes at the hotel.
Meanwhile, the G-Group was really in trouble with their investors. Ling Yue reached out to Ansheng to help with the burden.
The heirs to New Way were at the hospital to see and support their father who had collapsed.
This is a filler episode. This drama lost a bit of its way. The supporting actors are given way too much airtime.
Do we really need to see the romance of Xin’er and her stalker?
Nope, I’d rather see more of Lu Si as Anxin and how she confronts her paternity issue.
Why is Anxin so lax about it? Wouldn’t you go to your father and demand a retest so you can vindicate your wronged mother?
Writing let this drama down.
Episode 21
There was a meteor shower and the younger cast started to pair up. There was of course, Anxin and Ling Yue, Ling Fang and Xin’er, Yoyo and Zhou Lei, Ai LI and Dr Xiao.
Poor Ansheng, watching the meteor shower all alone in his bedroom.
Ansheng though found out that his mother had been transferring cash on Yougo’s account and then he overheard her telling someone to finish off both Anxin and Ling Yue.
Yougo contacted Anxin to meet up in a deserted warehouse. Like a lamb to a slaughter, Anxin went. Before she knew it, she was beaten and tied up.
Ling Yue turned up to the rescue but he was also beaten up. Lun, the hoodlum, used Anxin to blackmail Ling Yue into transferring all his shares in New Way to someone.
After he had signed, the hood left Anxin and Ling Yue to Yougo who was going to kill them by burning, but what she did not know if she burns them she dies with them because Lun locked her in them in the warehouse.
Not knowing this, she was going to kill them but Ling Fang turned up miraculously and hit Yougo to unconsciousness.
Episode 22
Ling Fang, Ling Yue and Anxin had just got out of the warehouse when Ansheng turned up.
They got talking who would have tried to get Anxin and Ling Yue killed.
Ling Yue said that Ling Sheng had Ling Yue transferred to him and Ansheng though that he was working with Hong Fang, his mother.
Ling Yue and Anxin had to pretend that they had died so they get into the bottom of things.
Ling Fang attended a board meeting at New Way and sure enough Ling Sheng said that Ling Yue had transferred all his shares to him.
As a board rule the one with the most number of shares becomes the president so Ling Sheng is the new president.
Ansheng got home and saw his sister who showed him her new diamond engagement ring.
Ansheng was aghast at the idea that his sister was marrying so soon after having just started dating Ling Sheng.
Poor Ansheng could not take all these new development and announced during dinner that he was going back abroad for further study.
Senior Gu started to become forgetful and even started calling Xin’er as Anxin.
Episode 23
It was the engagement party of Ling Shang and Xin’er. Xin’er looked beautiful and Ling Shang made a very sincere speech of wanting to look after her for all eternity.
Before everyone could say ahhhhh
A recorded voice of Hong Shang, mother of Xin’er and Ansheng. She was talking to LIng Shang and they discussed their criminal doings.
Episode 24
Then Ling Yue turned up but Ling Shang brazenly said so what? Ling Yue’s shares was already transferred to him.
Their father turned up as well but still, LIng Shang has got the majority shares so they can’t oust him until Father Ling apologized and made an emotive appeal to the other shareholders. Who all agreed to bring Ling Yue back as the president of the company.
Ling Shang finally knew he was defeated but they told him that they had already called the police.
It was in the police station that he saw Xin’er again. Ling Shang told her to forget him as he was not good enough for her and he was so ashamed.
Xin’er showed him the engagement ring which she was still wearing. She told him that she was going to wait for him.
Father Gu had a brain tumor which was not treated immediately. This caused a side effect of early dementia.
Anxin realised that she could not really tell him that she was his biological daughter.
Anxin made up with Xin’er and Ansheng will not go abroad but will manage their company.
Ling Fang was very chuffed with himself. He was proud of his handy work. He decorated Ling Yue’s office but Ling Yue told him that Ling Fang is the president of New Way as wanted by their father while Ling Yue will manage a new computer/electronic venture of the company which will be cooperating with Ansheng’s G Group.
Ling Fang was so touched.
Anxin could not find Ling Yue. In fact, she was given information that something had happened to him.
She looked for him everywhere but she began to suspect that it was not a matter of life and death because it was turning rather romantic. She was led to places she was with Ling Yue before.
The final destination was the amusement park. In front of the merry go round, Ling Yue appeared and asked her to marry him.
What else can she say?
After a few years, they have a son and a daughter.
The young son was already besuited and loving stocks and shares at age of four while their cute three-year-old daughter was a Van Gogh.
And they live happily ever after.
I might say, Lu Si and Liu Te became rather redundant from episode 21. They were hardly in the episodes.
That is why I found it rather tedious and was quite happy to see it finished. I can’t believe I said that about LuSi’s drama.
