Which graphic driver should I install? Really confused

Question (not support)

Hello all, I have been using surface book 3 15" so far.

As I know there are three ways to update the graphic driver for book 3.

  1. via Window update

  2. via intel driver update via intel homepage

  3. via NVIDIA GeForce experience app

Basically, I have updated all drivers through the window update tool. But, Intel driver apps say that there is DCH graphic driver that I can do but " Installing this graphics driver from Intel may remove customizations from your computer manufacturer (OEM). If a newer graphics driver is available from Microsoft, we recommend you install that driver instead. To learn more about installing an Intel driver on your OEM system, refer to this article. If you encounter any issues with the Intel driver, please report them to us.". At the same time, when I installed GeForce Experience, it says that I can update the graphic driver to the most recent GeForce GameReady driver. I was told that basic graphic driver installs via window update tool sucks for the graphic app usage.

In this situation, which graphic driver should I install?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Your Surface Book has two graphics chips, an Intel one in the tablet half, and an Nvidia one under the keyboard, so you will want to update both. Intel and Nvidia both offer automatic tools to handle it, use them.

Crystal clear! Thx!

I usually install the latest Intel DCH Driver and the latest Nvidia driver using NVCleanstall.

"Installing this graphics driver from Intel may remove customizations from your computer manufacturer (OEM)", I have never seen any OEM customizations (except from extremely slow updates). But if there is something wrong, you can always reinstall it.

So helpful. Thx

Avoid the windows update version of graphics drivers. They are usually old/wrong versions

Thx!
