I didn't get to see this during the original broadcast, didn't get the channel, when everyone it seemed just had to have a Diana special in 2017. All I got were some brief news broadcast bits.
I think this is probably the only Diana program that William and Harry participated in and I'd guess they had a big part in what went into it. The picture quality is good, some people will need to turn the sound up, it's closed captioned.
None of the usual "talking heads" were interviewed, you get Charles Spencer, Elton John (I don't remember him being in those other "Diana" DVDs) , Anne Beckwith Smith, a couple of Diana's friends and some representatives of charities. Spencer family home movies along with news videos make up the bulk of what you see. I don't recall seeing much "new" material except for the bits of William and Harry going through photo albums and reminiscing about their mother. Some of the video may be mostly unseen in the U.S. Market.
The biggest part of Diana's "legacy" is that her sons are so much like her…her influence is still there as they carry on her work and the way they live their lives. None of the rest of the Royal Family makes any appearance other than in some news bits, I think Kate's conversation with someone in a charity visit is heard in the background at one point. This DVD is pretty much just "the boys about Diana"
You might not watch it often but this is probably one of the most unique and worthwhile "Diana" DVDs.
