about
'This recording is named after Jean-Claude Ellena's l'eau d'hiver, a perfume that gives, via soft placements of iris, hawthorne, heliotrope, bergamot and hedione, the impression of warm water in cold weather: winter water.
It's the first piece I've written for psaltery after being gifted the instrument ten years ago.
Following a séance at Lilydale Spiritualist village (NY), within which I used cello as medium, one of the guests approached me and said "during the séance John Lennon spoke to me and told me he hasn't made all the music he wants to make yet, and that I should give you this instrument, to continue his work".
Now, I'm not claiming that l'eau d'hiver is the work of John Lennon, but it is nice to share this piece after holding the instrument for so many years.' Ecka Mordecai
