Audience Member Good cast utterly wasted on a film which clearly ran out of funding and inspiration. The director manages to drum up some thrills with action scenes but doesn't seem to know what to do the rest of the time. Screen play mostly drab and predictable. All in all not worth the effort. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member One of the worst films I've watched and I sat through 2 headed shark attack!! The only saving grace is Tom Hardy, although even he can't make this worth watching! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is a jumbled mess from start to finish. The only up side is seeing early Tom Hardy otherwise you would be better served watching anything else, Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member now an Englishman in the French army Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review simon d A pretty low-budget war movie which obviously helped springboard Tom Hardy's career, but nobody else's. It felt a bit too short to be a war film really. It felt rushed. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Don't waste your time with this mediocre movie. It's not horrible, but it certainly isn't good. Yes, Tom Hardy is stellar, but he certainly isn't the star of the movie as the packaging leads one to believe. No one lives forever, so use your time more wisely: Watch Battle of Algiers and Bronson instead of The Deserter. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
