We were visiting Phoenix and decided to take in a Coyote's hockey game. We purchased our tickets on ticketmaster and then bought a parking ticket for the J lot for $15. We got there a few hours early so we could walk around the Westgate Entertainment Center which has a lot to offer before or after the game. We had center seats in the upper tier that was excellent because we could see everything so well. I would suggest dressing in layers as it is chilly in the arena. We were lucky that it was an exciting game; the Coyotes won 7-3! It was also so much fun to HOWL and watch the monitors for audience surprises. Getting in and out of the arena was a breeze. The only problem we had was both of our tickets did not show up in the app and we spend about 20 minutes at the box office where they had to look them up, however all the staff was helpful and friendly.

Fun place to watch a game. Lots of hippe and great places to eat. Very cold inside, I usually just wear a t-shirt to games but glad I brought jacket to this arena. Apparently they have to keep inside temp at 59 degrees to keep ice in good shape.

Three Alberta couples attended the Edmontn Oiler/Arizona Coyotes game on Feb 4. The security check took far to long. They need more scanners. We were at the top row in the 'end zone' but view of the rink was fabulous.Seats are pretty steep here so was a bit scary walking down row with othe patrons in the way. Sound was great! Coyotes didn't play well but Oilers played one of thier worst games. Outcome favoured the 'Yotes" but it was an interesting visit to a very nice facility.

Sound quality at the venue was beyond bad. There are some seriously bad reflections bouncing off of the upper section and ceiling that basically turns the entire show into a muddy mush of sound. Could barely even hear the performer speak normally in between songs. Given the extremely expensive price of the ticket, I would expect good sound quality at a bare minimum. I would not recommend seeing a concert at this venue, which was clearly not designed for musical performances.

Had front row end seats to The Cure. Security didn’t do crap the whole time when all the drunk people came and pushed me and my family out of the way throughout the entire concert. I even had some drunk girl stick her hand on my face when I asked her to please get out of our seats. Security eventually escorted her out, but it took them forever. Every time I went to use the bathroom or get a drink, I came back and our seats were taken. We had to fight off the people ourselves to get them back. Even then it didn’t matter because new self-entitled people would come and shove us out of the way again. A few different people came and actually moved our belongings from our seats to sit in them while we were standing. It got to a point where we just left because it was just too frustrating and getting too aggressive to have any fun. Apparently, the security people they hire are just people that want a way to see the concert for free AND get paid for it. They don’t actually want to do any work. Total waste of money on what I hear was a great concert. Would never go back here to see a concert.

Attended a concert for the first time since this became Desert Diamond Arena and name change must mean nothing or let's make it worst. First off parking you pay for parking but the employees just standing there not doing anything to help traffic flow, signage was confusing. Employees need to at least do their job. Bag policy is different than all the others. Employee outside was short with people & not very helpful. Bag policy should be the same as all the other event places. No ushers to help find seats & if you have not been here before it helps to have people to ask. Womens restrooms were not stocked with toilet paper if the doors open at 6:30pm why is there not paper in half of the stalls by 7pm. Sound system was not the best most of the concert you could not understand what was being sung. Sound was bad before but now worse. The jumbo Tron could be used as screens but nope the tiny screens where being used & not in a good way. Just when you thought the City of Glendale could not care about this arena, they make it worse. Desert Diamond should be ashamed to have their name on the building.

The rink itself is one of the best I've been in. Not a bad seat honestly, could be a great hockey atmosphere if people actually showed up. Upper deck was very cold, really could have brought another jacket with the air conditioning blowing straight on you, and the prices for food or drinks are astronomical. It's really a shame that the Coyote's can't make this work.

Bought VIP tickets to concert. We were lined up in an uncovered area at 9am on the East side of the arena to receive our wristbands. We were not allowed to bring umbrellas into this area. The temperature was in the 90s. There was free water in this area however anytime someone would leave the line to get water they were yelled at by the security guards “stay in line” “do not leave your spot”. We stayed in this area until 1pm when the wristbands were finally handed out. I have a second degree sunburn on my shoulders & arms and yes I was wearing sport sunscreen. We were dehydrated and exhausted from standing in the sun for 4 hours. No one should be treated like this - no reason.

We were in town for the weekend and had planned on attending a hockey game since our Golden Knights were playing. The facility is in a good location for visitors staying at nearby hotels and walking to the arena. Not super huge crowds either.
However, you get a big one star for the policy about no purses/handbags. I think it is sexist at its worst and I was shocked and disappointed that I could not bring my bag with such trivial incidentals such as my wallet with ID, hairbrush, cell phone, glasses, etc. Really? I do not have a problem with any venue/arena running my purse through a metal detector or looking inside, but to ban the purse policy to only a smallish wallet size. Only one one pocket if I had wanted to use it for placement of my personal items.
And that brings me to the outlandish policy about wearing a mask. Some employees wore a mask, most didn't and I only saw about 10 fans wearing one. Utterly the worst of the worst enforcement. Wake up Arizona, it's NOT over!
Music was way too annoying and loud. The venue is decent and seats were great!

Absolutely aweful. Got seats with zero view of anything and it wasn’t indicated as obstructed view. Worse than that, the usher staff and employees were downright horrible, rude and unprofessional. Have never been treated so poorly at an event.

I am pretty sure you can. Maybe not a comforter but a small throw blanket i do not see the issue. Small chance I can be wrong.
Hi! Does this venue allow camping for concerts?

While there is plenty of vacant space for a campground within walking distance, there aren't any close by. The closest camp sites are miles away.

I bought seats to a hockey game that say they include AZBLUE Club access. What does this access get me? Any free food or drinks?

Is there a sign making area in the arena
Lawrence S

Yes, there is a sign on the front of the building, but it is difficult to see with restaurant and shop signs. It blends in. Just look for the fountain, and you will be directly in front of the Arena.

What is the best (and most cost effective) way to get to the stadium from Mesa without driving? There will be 6 of us. Wondering if there is a shuttle of some kind? Any bars do shuttle services?

Uber and Lyft are your best bets. There are no shuttles. The bus goes there, but it isn't timely.

No question, Sky Harbor. Close to the freeway and thus convenient to Glendale

Are there good places to eat / fun bars or interesting things to do within walking distance after a hockey game here in November?

There are plenty of bars and restaurants all within walking distance of the arena. Simply park and walk around the area and you will have no problem finding what you want to eat or drink.
