On the show today is Guy Garvey, the frontman for Dermot's favourite band, Elbow, and presenter of Sunday lunchtimes (1-4pm) on BBC Radio 6 Music.
Their nine studio albums to date have seen them amass a host of awards, including a BRIT, a Mercury Prize, and multiple Ivor Novello songwriting awards. After performing at the 2012 London Olympics closing ceremony, the band were granted the freedom of their hometown of Bury. Now, they are back with a new album and arena tour.
Plus there’s more from the infuriatingly popular Mystery Voice, puppies singing along to the radio in The Dog's Ballads and something from Dermot’s teenage vinyl collection.
