Derek Mears (born April 29, 1972; age 51) played Crazyhouse during Season 3 of The Shield.
Biography and career[]
Derek Mears was born in Bakersfield, California. Early on his life, he had a severe case of alopecia causing him to lose almost all his body hair. Mears graduated from Highland High School in 1990.
Mears started his career as a stuntman and actor with minor roles in shows like ER, Nash Bridges, Alias, and CSI: NY, among others. His breakthrough lead role was in ht 2009 remake of Friday the 13th, where he played the famous killer Jason Voorhees.
In 2019, Mears played the titular role in DC's short-lived series Swamp Thing.
