- sapphoMontevideo, Uruguay3 contributionswent to the winter lights garden tour with my partner for new year's eve. it was alright, all things considered! well kept gardens despite the recent snowfall and we got to see a bunny or two hopping alongside us on the paths. nice staff and peaceful atmosphere, would definitely want to go again in the summer or spring to see everything in full bloom!Written March 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - UsernamemaybeSaint Louis, MO30 contributionsMuseum is fairly large, with distinguishable areas to see. Lesson learned on using the culture pass, you still have to wait in line to get a real ticket, which was a bit confusing and frustrating. Visited on a Saturday and it was abnormally busy according to some folks we overheard.Written April 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - James TBoston, MA52 contributionsClean and several good restaurants and bars in the immediate area. Morning flight cancelled -- had 10 hours to kill-- took Metro from airport to downtown and back.Written January 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - margatemensch2016Coconut Creek, FL798 contributionsA few days ago,I spent two wonderful days at the Denver Art Museum.Since the Denver Art Museum has an extremely multifarious collection of Art,this review is restricted to its splendid collection of 19th Century European Paintings.French Painters with marvelous paintings on display included the following;Camille Corot("Villa D'Avray Pathway At Pond")Gustave Dore("Street Acrobats"),Jules Breton("Haymaker"),Charles Daubigny,Eugene Boudin,,Claude Monet("Paths At Wheatfield,Pourville")("Fishing Boats"),Pierre Renoir("Banks of Seine,Bougival"),Gustave Caillebotte,Alfred Sisley("Road From Veneux to Moret")Camille Pissarro("The Thaw")("Banks of Oise,Pontoise"),and Paul Cezanne, among others.
I also appreciated fine paintings from the 19th Century by the following British Painters;John Constable,Edward Lear("Nuneham"),and David Roberts("Cathedral at Pisa".
All of the 19th Century Paintings that I mentioned are in the Hamilton Building of the huge Denver Art Museum. The Denver Art Museum is a true source of happiness.Written April 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Wco320Bellefonte, PA2 contributionsWe visited Stranahan’s on a Tuesday, when the lounge was closed but the tours were still available. Zach was our guide, and he was funny, knowledgeable and chill. Our group had a great time, learned a bit and had a nice 4-pour tasting. The pride they showed in their product was great to see and well-earned.Written April 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Nicole B8 contributionsI want to take this opportunity to say the museum is fantastic and I learned so much about Margaret "Molly" Brown, but the BEST part of our time there was our beautiful and kind tour guide, Ornella. My Mother is hearing impaired and Ornella personally took my Mother & I on a tour of the house so my Mom could learn and enjoy too. She was so patient and sweet. She made our day so magical. We will never forget her kindness.Written April 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- williamjamesiiiLas Vegas, NV10 contributionsThe bartender at my hotel in Denver insisted if we had one day to see the mountains we must do the Mount Evans Scenic Byway and SHE WAS RIGHT! You can see for miles and miles, there is the cutest lodge at the bottom and a gorgeous alpine lake along the way. But the best part is the wild goats roaming the summit and parking lot!! The kids loved them. The drive is a little scary so put the best driver in your group forth and white knuckle your way to the top!! It's worth it!!!Written February 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- williamrhinrichsCohoes, NY8 contributionsWhen my grandchildren learned we were going to Colorado, their first request was to visit Empower Filed at Mile High. We booked the tour and were not disappointed. Each one saw something that was of interest (ages 9 - 17.) Our guide was informative and engaging. The group size (15) was ideal. For Bronco fans, this was a "must see:" attraction.
