Dejan Kulusevski was surprised to hear about his Tottenham Hotspur statistic

Dejan Kulusevski was surprised to hear that he has now played more games for Tottenham Hotspur than any of his other clubs.

Kulusevski has now been at Spurs for more than two years, having clocked up a total of 86 appearances for the club across all competitions so far.

The winger is not far away from hitting a century and it is perhaps sometimes easy to forget that he is only 23 years of age, given the experience he has under his belt for his age.

The Swede has already had quite a few ups and downs in his career so far, initially hitting the limelight with his brilliant displays in the 2019-20 season on loan at Parma, which earned him a big move to Juventus

However, things did not go to plan for Kulusevski in Turin as he struggled to establish himself as a regular in the starting eleven before eventually deciding to embark on a new adventure in the Premier League with Spurs.

Kulusevski has played more for Spurs than any other club

Even at Tottenham, it has not been all smooth sailing for the winger, who after an impressive start to his Spurs career, was one of several players to struggle under Antonio Conte last season.

Kulusevski, who has also been a fixture in the Tottenham side under Ange Postecoglou this season, was told by ex-Everton midfielder Leon Osman on Premier League Productions (18/03/24 at 5:30 pm): “You have been here 3 seasons now. You have played more games at Spurs than you have at any of the clubs that came before.”

The former Juve man responded “Really?! I didn’t know that”. Osman then asked: “Is this starting to feel like home?”, to which the winger responded: “London is an amazing city. I have a lot of friends, so life is good.”

Spurs Web Opinion

It is easy to forget just how young Kulusevski still is, with the Swede being just a year older than Johnson and Van de Ven. He can be a frustrating player to watch at times as someone of his ability should be influencing matches more but one can argue that he is still continuing to develop and is not close to his ceiling just yet.
