I listen to XM Radio in the truck a lot. I listen to a lot of bluegrass music. Just as they have done with country music over the years, they now call anything bluegrass today. I am so tired of hearing rock music on the bluegrass station. As a result, I have been listening more and more to the country classic station. It sounds so good to hear the stars that I grew up hearing. I have been buying a lot of the CD's of these classic stars, at least one good CD from each. This CD has all of Loretta Lynn's greatest hits, that I can remember, and I have really enjoyed this CD. In both bluegrass and country music, most or the supper stars are now dead, and there seems to be nobody to replace them. If you want a great CD of Loretta Lynn, buy this one. You will not be disappointed.

I love Loretta Lynn and her music. I didn't have any of her music on cd though and decided this had all the hits on it that i know and love. Coal Miner's Daughter, Don't Come Home a Drinkin' and After the Fire is Gone and Lead Me On are my favorites. I was surprised to see that a couple of her duets with Conway Twitty (Louisiana Woman Mississippi Man and As Soon As I Hang Up the Phone) are also on this cd. If you like Loretta then you'll like this. Enjoy !

I am a Loretta Lynn fan and was very pleased at the great selection of her songs on this CD. You know how you choose a CD that has some of your favorite songs but have to suffer through some which you personally are not crazy about? Well, this one really has many of her most enjoyable classics. They have a lot of her best humorous ones on here as well. Also, if you haven't listened to Loretta Lynn before and really want to hear what all the fuss is about I would strongly recommend this CD.

I recently watched a Coal Miner's Daughter again, decades after seeing it when it first came out. Don't you know I broke down and cried and cried. There is something so special and enduring about the life and music of Loretta Lynn. I play this CD in the car with my children and now they ask to listen to it! Instead of listening to all that "other" stuff. Try it with your children... I bet they end up loving Loretta Lynn as much as mine do. It just warms my heart.

25 tracks recorded from 1964 to 1978, including 5 duets with Conway Twitty. Most of the songs show her feisty side, with just a few somewhat sentimental tracks. Loretta is an artist that has been around for a long time, with many number 1`s to her credit, including the soundtrack of her life `Coal Miner`s Daughter`, yet she is hardly known in the UK. Her strong accent only adds to the quality of these recordings. The only other familiar song is her cover of the Patsy Cline classic, `She`s Got You`.

Loretta Lynn is a legend, held in reverence by her fans and her fellow artists. She has now passed 80 years old and is still going strong ! Long may this Queen of Country reign.
