67% Tomatometer 6 Reviews 16% Audience Score 50+ Ratings Based on the acclaimed film of the same name, this Netflix-original series follows a group of students of color at Winchester University, a predominantly white Ivy League college. The students are faced with a landscape of cultural bias, social injustice, misguided activism and slippery politics. Through an absurdist lens, the series uses irony, self-deprecation, brutal honesty and humor to highlight issues that still plague today's"post-racial" society. Creator Justin Simien serves as an executive producer. Read More Read Less Watch on Fandango at Home Premiered Sep 26 Buy Now

Melanie McFarland Salon.com The fact that Coco's character is on a reality show that takes place inside a season where everyone else spontaneously bursts into song is uniquely absurd. At the same time, it all makes sense. Sep 27, 2021 Full Review Michael Cuby them. ...now, it all comes topped off with several musical numbers per episode too. For me, that’s a win-win. Sep 26, 2022 Full Review Merecedes Williams New Pittsburgh Courier Logan Browning, who plays Sam White, has consistently portrayed a beautifully flawed student. Her characters wisdom and wit strokes even the nerdiest egos, while her sass and spunk create the Black Girl Magic we all fell in love with freshman year. Rated: B- Feb 5, 2022 Full Review Jamal Grootboom Independent Online (South Africa) It's disappointing to have one of the most progressive shows go out like this. Rated: 2.5/5 Oct 1, 2021 Full Review Murtada Elfadl The Playlist The fourth and final season of "Dear White People" takes some bold, creative swings but still feels ultimately uninspired. Rated: C Sep 28, 2021 Full Review Proma Khosla Mashable It's certainly not the sharpest writing or the best season of Dear White People, but it's a fitting sendoff for a show that did so much with its signature direction and phenomenal cast. Buggo The fourth season was oh so disappointing. I felt like the ending was missing some of the characters from the beginning such as Kelsey and Rashid, and the whole musical thing was total bs. The show really fell off on season 4. The previous 3 were so much more interesting. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/22/23 Full Review Julian R What the hell happened. The show was so brilliant and thought provoking. Why did the creators think this is how it should've ended. Don't watch this but please watch the other seasons because they have so much to say unlike this season. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/26/23 Full Review Alex H Dropped off massively from the previous seasons. The show seems to have lost its wit and finesse. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/18/22 Full Review Audience Member Ugh - hard work to watch - don't know what possessed them to make it a musical :/ Let down Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Season 1, 2, and 3 I loved.... this was not want I wanted or expected. The final season a musical? no thank you, I couldn't get through the first episode, and if you are going to do a musical make sure the music is good. What a disappointing send off to a great series.
