NEXT UP: KELTY HEARTS (H)

Next up for the champions is a return to the Falkirk Stadium as we host Kelty Hearts in our penultimate home game of the season.

Kick-off is at 3pm at the Falkirk Stadium, Saturday 20th April.

There are now just three games left of the 2023/24 season and we prepare to take on Kelty Hearts on our second last home game.

The Bairns go into Saturday’s game still unbeaten in the league and following on from three hugely impressive wins since become champions.

Last week Falkirk faced their biggest hurdle in their bid to go invincible as they travelled to New Douglas Park to face Hamilton Accies in front of the BBC Alba cameras. Falkirk controlled large parts of the game but were unable to grab an early goal like they have done in previous games. The first goal came five minutes into the second half when Calvin Miller’s free kick from 25 yards was pushed onto the post by Dean Lyness. It was a great save, but unfortunately for the Hamilton ‘keeper, the ball rolled across the face of goal where Ross MacIver was waiting to tap the ball into the empty net. The second came four minutes before full-time. Lyness was at the heart of it again as he played a risky pass out to Ben Williamson, who had the ball stolen from him by an alert Aidan Nesbitt. Falkirk’s number 10 made no mistake to secure all three points for the Bairns, who are now 22 points clear at the top of the table.

Kelty Hearts find themselves in a good run of form and will be looking to make it four wins on the bounce. Kelty have put themselves in contention for a play-off spot with wins against Alloa, Edinburgh City, Queen of the South and Stirling Albion in recent weeks. Michael Tidser’s side managed to turn their form around after losing five in a row and have now lost one in five. They now sit just four points behind fourth placed Montrose.
