Deadpool 2 - Defying History
Did Domino break the fourth wall, strike lucky, and make this sequel better than its original? I think so!Deadpool 2 is way better than I could have anticipated. I really liked the first Deadpool. It was exactly what we had expected it to be all of these years. We knew Ryan Reynolds was Deadpool the instant we all became fans of him. We knew the film was going to be a hard bargain for an R-rating, but when it came we showed them it was the way. It did do everything it did at a 11 out of 10, as it should, and it worked for me mostly other than the crudeness of the humor. I like anything that's funny, but like with most comedy, going for it every time can become repetitive or cross a line.Deadpool 2 does not have the same pitfalls of the first film, and I think it does a lot of things better. Most of the new elements, including the new characters, really help this sequel be just as good if not better than the first. The introduction of X-Force was awesome and their scene together was perfect for Deadpool. I loved seeing some of the heroes on screen for the first time, but Domino completely steals the show. Her banter with Deadpool is a perfect example of how Deadpool could really make a Marvel team-up the perfect blockbuster.Domino's powers enable her to take over when she's on screen, and likewise to Cable who is played by now Marvel God, Josh Brolin. Cable really comes into the film by the end, and his arc makes it just as much his movie as Deadpool's, or Domino's for that matter. In watching the special features and commentary, a good point is made about making an otherwise crummy guy in Deadpool, the hero to root for. They do a really good job of making this movie entertaining, but also be a good movie with logical characters who are fun to root for and driven by plot. This 4K edition was glorious and I'd highly recommend buying the film in this format. The details were really clear and the film is really colorful in costumes so it really sets off the hero scenes. There are so many good references in the film, and easter eggs. Plenty of new and old Marvel characters to fill the universe around Deadpool and make it feel lived in so he can play off of it. The Super Duper Cut was also worth watching as it includes a lot of the alternate lines and a few of the deleted scenes mentioned in the commentary, all of which are really funny. This edition of the film includes 4 discs, 2 4K and 2 Blu-ray, one of each version of the film and one of those including special features & commentary. The whole edition is worth diving into and like Deadpool says, I think this movie is a family movie in every way that he means it. This also includes a digital copy, case was in great condition with slipcover. Also had a sticker that I left on the case due to the fitting look, which is rare.

The movie was GREAT and the price that Amazon charged me for it was more than fair. Lot's of VIOLENCE. Lots Of HUMOR. LOTS of ACTION PACKED - witty banter - FUN! - Make sure to watch DeadPool 1 first. Even though it's not actually called, DEADPOOL 1. That's just like saying, JAWS ONE or FAST AND THE FURIOUS.... ONE. The ONE part is a conundrum. You know what to do.

Definitely a fun Movie that adds a completely different take on it than Deadpool 2. I really enjoyed the movie but the digital part can really only be used in Canada and not the US

This is one of the nastiest, most crude, glorious, hilarious dark comedies to come along since the first one. Yes, yes, yes, I know. "It's terrible. It's not suitable for toddlers. It's offensive." And thank god for every second of this toilet bowl of a film. I can't remember having laughed so hard for so long. Several times, I almost choked to death I was laughing so hard.
Absolutely everything in this film is spectacular. The characters actually feel new. And that's very difficult to accomplish these days in any superhero or action film. Domino is, without question, my favourite. Her "superpower" is one I've never even heard of, let alone seen, before. And as corny as it is, it works! Beautifully. My god, I wish I could take her home and marry her. I need some of her superpower -- badly. That's for certain.
The baddies in this film are also quite new. And they are unquestionably the most foul, repulsive villains I've ever seen up on a movie screen. They make Thanos look like a saint. And when they get it in the end (both senses of the word in one case) I cheered. The 4th-wall breaking was done perfectly and with enough subtlety to make it work every time.
Pay no attention to the gits behind the curtain who are bad-mouthing this film, calling it "too crude" and "not funny". They are all dead wrong and just too full of themselves. What they need is to spend 5 minutes with Deadpool, alone, in a locked, darkened room, with a box of surgical gloves. That should do the trick.
There's one thing about these films that rarely is mentioned, since most "critics" are too focused on all the "naughty" words: the CGI. For the most part, it works. And that's saying a lot these days when most films look like some snotty teenager with a crappy laptop ground out the FXs in about an hour. These FX are actually convincing. As I've said in other reviews, the only places where the CGI breaks down is when digital figures move too fast. Otherwise, they're fine.
I definitely recommend this film. Hell, I recommend repeated viewings. It stands up to multiple viewings quite well. If you need something to make you not just laugh, but outright bust a gut, then these films are for you. Reynolds and company all do a fabulous job: writing, filming, acting, directing, everything. It all works.
SUPER DUPER REVIEW:
Wow! Oh, my, god! Double WOW! Even triple WOW!
This is indeed a Super Duper Cut. I'd even say a Super Duper Pooper Scooper version. That's how good this is. It needs a lot more adjectives to get across just how spectacular this cut really is.
In fact, THIS is the version of the film that SHOULD have been released from the very beginning. Absolutely! This isn't just some longer version with all the crummy deleted scenes replaced. You know the ones. Those edits that were removed because they slowed down the film, or made it incomprehensible, or ruined the pacing, or something. This isn't one of those typical cash-grab scams the film studios pull so they can make a second killing on more sales. Oh, no, sir! This is a significant improvement on the entire film. And I do mean significant.
In the first place, characters like Russell are given more time for their characters actually to develop as they're supposed to do, and even provide a bit more explanation for certain parts that remain somewhat vague in the theatrical cut. And that slimy Baldilocks, the head of the institute that tortures Russell, is given more time really to shine as a genuine slime-ball. Yikes, what a bastard!
And a few of the other characters are given a bit more time to throw out one-liners and other minor interesting development dialogue. So, overall, I have to recommend that, if you're one of the three people on the planet who've never seen this film, don't even bother with the theatrical version. Just go straight for the super-cut version.
There's another point I'd like to make for all those technically-challenged people out there, the half-dozen individuals who never learned how digital equipment works: When you purchase the Prime Video version, please start the movie, then click on the View All, then click on Scenes. Then scroll down that long page until you get to box titled Scene 37, where it CLEARLY states that the Super Duper cut starts. Click on the "Jump to Scene" button, and you're there, at the start of the Super Duper cut. See? Real simple. Even a monkey could do it. As to whether or not YOU can, we'll just have to wait and see.
If you stay on the Scenes page and just scroll through the Super Duper cut, you'll notice that many of the Scene panels will actually state if there's "new stuff" in that scene, in case you're interested in that. Just pointing this out.
Also, there is a Bonus Content section at the top of the page when you first open the X-Ray Section. That's also fairy interesting stuff for those who are interested, such as myself. The Trivia section, however, is the same for both versions. Oh, well.
Anywho . . . I can truthfully state that I laughed a lot more and a lot harder during this version than during the theatrical. It is way funnier, and the fight choreography is about ten times better! It actually out-does the choreography in the Matrix -- and that's saying a lot. Just the scene in the Japanese sauna (or baths or whatever) goes on about five times as long, is about ten times more intricate and complex and about a hundred times more spectacular. So I just can't recommend this film enough.
I always make a point about the number of stars I give. I never, ever give any film five stars, unless it is a proven, genuine masterpiece, like Aliens or Citizen Kane. I can't honestly give the Super Duper cut five stars, but were it possible, I would definitely give it four and a half. That's how good this version is.

I loved this movie. Both cuts of it. Some stuff I liked better in the original cut and other stuff in the longer/different cut. I can't say which I like better, it's sort of a mix and match for me. Though I have to admit I think for the theatrical release they probably picked the right parts for a wider appreciation.
I adored Yukio. I actually wish she had had more screen time other than her one cool move at the end and her weird curtsey greetings with Wade. Same for snarking Negasonic. They made a hilarious odd couple match. Even though my friends are m/f they are almost exactly like Yukio and Negasonic, so it was especially hilarious to me. By the way Deadpool, I loved Negasonic's new haircut. It was freaking adorable. ;P
Zazie Beetz has the best hair of any superhero EVER! Oh and she was a great actor. She was so much better than the comic book version! I'm so thankful that so many of the comic women are being changed for the better in the movies. I never mind a great body prancing across the screen, but at least make sure they can act and that the role makes sense. I was so jazzed to see Domino in the movie done so well.
Dopinder was once again awesome. We got just enough more of him that I wasn't disappointed, but not so much that it felt forced. I liked Blind Al's cameo's as well. Just enough and in all the right places. Good job!
I have to admit when I first saw the previews for this movie, I was really disappointed. It looked like they were cramming in a whole bunch of extra characters to take away from Deadpool being the star. I honestly didn't see their solution to this problem coming. I am rarely that surprised by a twist, so I absolutely loved it. SO MUCH!
The bit with Negasonic in the tag endings was a little out there. It's not hard to imagine she's a tech genius, but there was not even a hint of that, so it was kind of off the wall. Still it made for some hilarious and fun extra tag endings. Besides, anyone who's read the comics had to know something like that was coming. It just wouldn't quite be Deadpool if he didn't have some highly dangerous misappropriated tech to screw with people, the world, and the multi-verse. XD
As for some of the weird reviews this movie has received... Mutants in the Marvel universe have ALWAYS been a way to help readers connect with racism, anti-semitism, and bigotry in all forms. ALWAYS. Read just about any interview Stan Lee has done.
Deadpool is pansexual. He says so himself in the COMICS. He lusts after Spiderman all the time. He tries to sex up Cable on a number of occasions. These are not new things that the movie writers threw in there to piss people off.
I totally do not understand some of these reviews, but I suppose when you try and appropriate something for yourself and then find out the truth, it helps you feel less stupid if you can blame it on someone else.
And shouldn't everyone be a social justice warrior, because the alternative is that you think social justice is bad. Without social justice we'd still have slavery, women as property, rich people paying to have their enemies shot or incarcerated, and... well hopefully you get the picture. But then I don't understand this type of hatred anyway.
As for the future, I don't know what's going to happen to the Deadpool franchise now that it looks like Disney is going to be allowed to buy the Fox movie and some of the TV franchise. Hopefully it will stay as wacky, weird, and outrageous as it has been the last two movies. If not, I want to see it end here on such a wonderfully funny and surprisingly compassionate note. Because it really was all about FAMILY. \o/

Deadpool 2 Steelbook is Super Duper!
Reviewed in India on August 24, 2018
The Steelbook came wrapped in a way that only a collector of Steelbooks could have done its packing, without a scratch or dent.. EXCELent!
Now for the Super Duper Cut, watching it is like watching Deadpool 2 for the very first time indeed and I am going to watch this Cut many more times again with friends for sure. Crisp Full HD 1080P picture quality and a DTS 7.1 soundtrack is kicka$$ to say the least. The second Theatrical Cut Blu-ray comes loaded with some hilarious and insightful bonus materials that will take a few sittings to view them all.. this is a must own for every one who enjoys edgy and out-of-box super-duper-hero movies, and if you are a Deadpool or X-Men fan- you will own this movie no matter what!
Have been reading the hullabaloo of which company is better and what should be the price of a Blu-ray/DVD by people with no ‘verified purchase’ tags. Besides, if they know so much about the business, why aren’t they running it? And nobody is putting a gun to your head and forcing you to buy Blu-rays or DVDs for that matter.
Really, what kind of a mental person goes around pasting the same opinion everywhere as to why Blu-rays or 4Ks failed… seriously! You might need to see a doctor and though the Pharma industry too don't know what they are doing and will shutdown because of overpricing their medicines but still be careful as eating cheap pirated drugs might be damaging your brains! :-D
Hoping to see genuine people posting their “verified purchased” reviews please and I am going to buy more Steelbooks now… :-)
