Donna is married to a workaholic who travels frequently for his job. When he takes a long term assignment overseas, Donna feels abandoned and turns to her daughter’s schoolteacher for companionship. She is unaware that he is a dangerous murderer and thief who preys on lonely married women. When her husband returns she is forced to deal with her betrayal and bring him to justice.

Hits all the Lifetime movie notes, but gets a little more into erotic thriller territory than normal with some light nudity. I was appreciating that it took some influence from the early 90's erotic thrillers. In this one an unhappy wife has an affair with her daughter's teacher, a suave sociopath who seduces woman and burgles their homes. it does a nice job of easing you into its antagonists increasingly outlandish behaviour.
This is a Canadian movie, but it's doing its darndest to hide its Canadianess with Montreal mascarading as Boston. It doesn't do too bad. I would have thought that points further east like Halifax would have been an easier fit for Boston architecturally, but this chooses it's locations…
This is utter, sleazy trash that I watched while I was working, from the Lifetime Channel.
At one point they misspelled the word as "professionnal" onscreen. Which was good for a laugh.
Extremely lurid, even for Lifetime. Absolutely read this as Edie Britt’s joker origin story from terrorized to terrorizer. That said, Nicollette is such a chad irl, it’s hard to stomach her playing this much pathos. Wanted to see her really go off and freak it like we all know she can (*cough* Marc Cherry).
Violent mommy issues and sexual duplicity aside, this was somehow also really cozy? Could’ve done an entire 70 minutes of Roz in the used bookstore gabbing about hot older customers buying hardcover sets of Milton. Between this, Mom at Sixteen, and Pregnancy Pact, love Lifetime’s comfy, warm-lit, malaise-struck treatment of Boston.
