Steve D Ridiculous but well acted. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/14/24 Full Review L L BRILLIANT! OUTSTANDING! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/13/24 Full Review georgan g So many twists & turns made this an intriguing plot. Bette Davis character goes down a black hole. Great acting by the entire cast. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review martin a This is an outstanding film where Bette Davis plays both twins and the sister of the rich twin, who stole her boyfriend who died, They meet at his funeral where the poor sister discovers that she took her old boyfriend by lying that she was pregnant. She then decides to kill her rich sister and swap places with her, making everyone believe that the poor sister died, the problem is the poor sister's boyfriend keeps hounding her, and the rich sister discovers the lie, and she then finds out that the rich sister killed her husband, so no matter which way she turns she will be arrested for murder, Great stuff. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member First, NOT a mystery. You know everything at all times, at least as soon as the main character knows. Very sad. You root for a good and decent woman who has a moment of angry passion that leads to one setback after another. You'd love for her to get off scott free. You might be satisfied if she got a fair trial about her understandable indiscretion. You cringe every time her situation is totally misunderstood and leads to devastating consequences. But, as they say, "Oh, what a web we weave when we try hard to deceive." Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review deke p VERY INTeresting. But predictable problems when anybody tries to to take on another in their own house. Practically wrote itself. But a few twists. BETTY DAVIS still great, after all these years. & younger PETER LAWFORD. This movie much like another Davis movie where she took also took on her identical twin sister's identity.
