  • KC Defensive Back
CB David Macklin (hamstring) sat out practice yesterday.
Macklin is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game, and with CB Antrel Rolle (knee) out the Arizona secondary is in shambles.
  • KC Defensive Back
CB David Macklin (hamstring) is expected to be listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game.
With CB Antrel Rolle (knee) out for the year and CB Raymond Walls (groin) also hurting, the Cardinals are in rough shape heading into their game against Carolina.

  • KC Defensive Back
Redskins declared CB David Macklin, TE Cody Boyd, DT Lorenzo Alexander, WR Shaun Bodiford, DT Ryan Boschetti, RB Marcus Mason, and OL Todd Wade inactive for Sunday’s Week 1 game. Mark Brunell is the third QB.
Macklin, Washington’s dime corner, lost out to Leigh Torrence in a special teams move. Wade has a bum shoulder. Mason is an undrafted rookie.
  • KC Defensive Back
The Cardinals signed cornerback David Macklin, formerly of the Colts, to a three-year deal.
Macklin will take David Barrett’s placed in the secondary. It’s not a downgrade.
  • KC Defensive Back
Former Chiefs CB David Macklin was found guilty Tuesday of drunk driving stemming from his early March arrest.
Macklin received a six-month suspended jail term, a $250 fine, and a restricted driver’s license. He was released by the Chiefs shortly after the arrest.
  • LAR Wide Receiver
Rams waived WR Derek Stanley, C Dustin Fry, CB Darius Vinnett, T Mark LeVoir, RB Lance Ball, LB Marc Magro, CB David Macklin, and FB Russ Weil.
Stanley can fly, but is probably too small to have a future in the league. Macklin’s time may be just about up. Ball is a practice squad option.
  • KC Defensive Back
Rams agreed to terms with CB David Macklin on a one-year contract.
Macklin was once a decent corner in the Colts’ Tampa 2. Players from that secondary system rarely play well elsewhere, and Macklin further confirms it. If the Rams think of him as more than a dime back, they could be in trouble.
  • FA Wide Receiver
The Rams will host free agent WR Reche Caldwell and CB David Macklin for visits Thursday.
The Rams are really scratching the bottom of the barrel here. Caldwell carries concerns about a chronic knee issue. Macklin, 29, couldn’t beat out undrafted free agent types for playing time in Washington last season.
  • KC Defensive Back
Chiefs signed CBs Ricardo Colclough and David Macklin.
Macklin has experience in the zone defense KC runs in its secondary, but hasn’t been a quality player in several seasons. Colclough has the capability of returning punts, but has never been very good at it. Go Chiefs.
