Leading up to 2020 Olympic Trials: Announced in September 2017 that he intended to continue competing and would pursue another Olympic bid in 2020... chose to shift his focus to 3-meter starting in 2018... USA Diving national champion on 3-meter at the 2018 Winter Nationals and 2019 Senior National Championships... placed fifth on 3-meter at the 2019 FINA World Championships while competing at Worlds for the first time since 2015... earned a 3-meter quota spot for the USA at the 2020 Olympics with his performance at the World Championships... teamed with Steele Johnson to win the national title in 3-meter synchro at the 2019 Winter Nationals... qualified for the 2020 FINA Diving World Cup in synchronized 3-meter.

2016 Olympics: Medaled twice in his third career appearance at the Olympic Games... won silver with Steele Johnson in synchronized 10-meter, Team USA's top showing in the event since synchronized diving was added to the Olympic program in 2000... also won bronze individually on 10-meter, giving him four career Olympic medals... named USA Diving's Athlete of the Year for the seventh straight year and eighth time overall... with gold and bronze medals in the 10-meter events four years ago in London, accomplished the rare double medal feat in consecutive Olympics... China's Hu Jia and Tian Liang were the last divers to medal individually on 10-meter in consecutive Olympics Games (2000-04)... however, since synchronized diving was added to the Olympic program in 2000, Liang is the only other men's 10-meter diver to win four medals over consecutive Olympics... became the first American man to medal on 10-meter in consecutive Olympics since Greg Louganis won gold in 1984 and 1988... also became Team USA's first male diver to medal in consecutive Olympics since Mark Lenzi (3-meter) in 1992 and 1996... was the only American diver to medal in an individual event in Rio.

2013 to 2016 Olympic Trials: Qualified for third straight Olympic Games in individual and synchronized 10-meter... won silver medals on 10-meter at 2013 and 2015 FINA World Championships... teamed with Steele Johnson to win 2015 USA Diving national titles in synchronized 10-meter at Synchronized National Championships and Winter Nationals... became only the third Boilermaker to qualify for the Olympics three times... competed with Johnson in synchronized 10-meter at 2015 FINA World Championships and 2015 FINA Diving World Cup... opted not to compete individually on 10-meter at 2015 Winter Nationals, but finished first in the event at 2016 Olympic Trials.

2012 Olympics: Boudia won two medals at the 2012 Olympics Games in London, including a thrilling final-round performance in the individual 10-meter platform that won him the gold medal... also won Bronze with Nick McCrory in the synchronized 10-meter platform... scored 90-plus points on five of his six dives in the event finals, including a 102.60 on his final dive, to win the gold medal... became the first American man to win 10-meter platform gold at the Olympics since Greg Louganis in 1988... also claimed Team USA's first individual diving medal at the Olympics since Laura Wilkinson won gold in the 10-meter platform at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney; Mark Lenzi's bronze in the 3-meter springboard at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta marked the last individual medal by an American man; Scott Donie's silver at the 1992 Olympics marked the last time an American man medaled in the 10-meter platform... most impressively, Boudia responded after a so-so performance the day before that saw him place 18th of 32 in the preliminary round... only the top 18 finishers advanced to the semifinals Saturday morning; Boudia was third in the semis Saturday morning to set himself up for his gold medal push in the evening finals... Boudia and McCrory became the first American duo to medal in the synchronized 10-meter platform since it was added to the program in 2000.
 

2011-12: Olympic Games Qualifier... FINA World Championships Silver Medalist... officially turned pro in April 2011, forgoing his final year of college eligibility to focus on training for the 2012 Olympics... continues to train and practice with coach Adam Soldati at Purdue while being enrolled in select classes... became the first American male since 1986 to medal in the 10-meter platform at World Championships with his Silver Medal-winning performance in China... repeated as champion of the 10-meter platform competition at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in June... also teamed with Nick McCrory to win the the synchronized 10-meter platform and clinch one of the eight berths in the event at the Olympics... won his 15th and 16th career national titles at 2012 USA Diving Winter Nationals, held in December 2011 in Knoxville... won the 10-meter platform and the synchronized 10-meter platform at USA Winter Nationals, claiming both titles for third straight year... won synchronized title with Nick McCrory... represented USA Diving at the 2012 FINA World Cup in London in February, placing fourth in the 10-meter platform... won five medals in the 2012 FINA Diving World Series: bronze in 10-meter platform in Dubai (March 16); bronze in 10-meter platform and silver in synchronized 10-meter with Nick McCrory in Moscow (April 13-14); silver in 10-meter platform and gold in synchronized 10-meter with Nick McCrory in Mexico (April 21-22)... selected as a semifinalist for the AAU Sullivan Award, presented annually to the nation's outstanding amateur athlete...
