Meghan Trainor Says 'Every Night Is Date Night' with Her Husband After Their Kids Go to Bed (Exclusive)

Meghan Trainor makes the most of every night with her husband, Daryl Sabara.

The singer, 30, and actor, 31, chatted exclusively with PEOPLE at Audacy's Leading Ladies event, which was presented by Olay Body, about how they make sure to prioritize time together in their relationship.

When asked when he feels the "most comfortable" in life, Sabara turned his attention to his wife and said, "I feel good at nighttime — with you."

As Trainor questioned, "At nighttime?" Sabara further explained, "No, all day. But it’s like, once we put the kids to bed, then it’s our time."

"Date night! Every night is date night," the "All About That Bass" songstress added with a smile.

Trainor and Sabara initially met at a house party in 2014 and began dating years later, after being set up by Chloë Grace Moretz.

Sabara then proposed to Trainor on the eve of her 24th birthday in December 2017. The musician shared the moment on Instagram at the time, writing, "He proposed to me under a tunnel of beautiful Christmas lights and surprised me with my family and friends. I'm still in shock. I've never been this happy!"

The couple said "I do" in a backyard ceremony in front of 100 close friends and family members on Dec. 22, 2018, PEOPLE exclusively confirmed at the time. The date also marked Trainor's 25th birthday.

Sabara and the "Made You Look" singer later welcomed their first child, son Riley, on Feb. 8, 2021, and their second, son Barry, on July 1, 2023.

Later this year, Trainor is set to drop her sixth studio album, Timeless. It follows her 2022 LP, Takin' It Back. 

The mother of two told PEOPLE that the date is special to her, as it marks Sabara's 32nd birthday.

"That is his birthday gift, [a] new album. You're welcome," she joked, adding: "I'll probably be, like, on the Today show or something. I'll be busy!"

On the prospect of his wife releasing her album on his special day, Sabara said, "How cool is that? Best gift ever."

Timeless will be available to purchase and stream on June 14.
