Exeter eye extending Harris loan
Gary Caldwell has admitted he would love to keep Fulham midfielder Luke Harris at Exeter City next season.

The Welsh under-21 international has impressed at St. James' Park helping lift to the Grecians into the top half of the League One table having moved from Craven Cottage in January when City looked likely to be dragged into the relegation dog fight. Harris has scored three goals – and added two assists – in nineteen appearances, starring as Caldwell's side have embarked on an eight-match unbeaten run.

Caldwell told BBC Radio Devon:

"I think he's been a brilliant addition. The players love him, he's fitted in really well. He'll be the first to tell you he loves playing for this football club and we will have discussions with Fulham about what is best for Luke next season.

He's had a big impact and I think potentially more time with us next year would be really helpful for has development because he's another player, like Stanno that we had from Fulham, that I can see playing for Fulham in years to come. So if we can help Fulham with that and help Luke with that development then we'd love to do so, because he is a great lad and he is a player that we know the players and the staff all love working with."

Bradley, Bajcetic, Thiago - Liverpool injury list and return dates for Fulham clash
Heading home from Italy with their tails tucked between their legs, Liverpool travel to Craven Cottage to take on Fulham in Sunday's Premier League fixture.

The Reds beat Atalanta BC 1-0 in the second leg of their Europa League quarter-final on Thursday, but their narrow triumph was not enough owing to La Dea's 3-0 success in the opening fixture, thus bringing Jurgen Klopp's final continental adventure with the club to an end.

Prior to their inconsequential victory in Bergamo, Liverpool lost by the same scoreline against Crystal Palace in the top flight to fall two points behind Manchester City, while they remain below Arsenal on goal difference too.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with the Cottagers, who bested West Ham United 2-0 last weekend.

Conor Bradley
Status: Out
Type of injury: Foot
Possible return date: May 5 (vs. Tottenham Hotspur)

Conor Bradley was substituted in the second half of last weekend's loss to Palace with an ankle injury, and the right-back is now confirmed to be missing the rest of the month, but he should be back in action in early May.

Stefan Bajcetic
Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Fitness
Possible return date: April 21 (vs. Fulham)

Despite managing some minutes for the Under-21s last Friday, Stefan Bajcetic was left out of the squad to face Atalanta as he continues building up his fitness following a calf injury, but there is a good chance that he will be available for selection here.

Thiago Alcantara
Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: Unknown

On the contrary, Bajcetic's Spanish compatriot Thiago Alcantara is not expected to play again this season, having picked up a severe muscle issue against Arsenal which might bring an end to his Liverpool career.

Ben Doak
Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Ben Doak underwent an operation on a severe knee injury towards the end of 2023, and there have been few updates on the Scotsman's condition since, but he is definitely out this weekend.

Joel Matip
Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Similarly, Joel Matip is on the long road to recovery from December's ACL injury, and the Cameroonian's season is already over, meaning that he could have also played his last competitive match for the Merseyside giants.

LIVERPOOL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Liverpool have no players suspended for this match.

Fulham ready to revive Amrabat interest
Fulham are ready to revive their interest in Moroccan midfielder Sofian Amrabat this summer, according to reports from Italy.

The Whites held discussions with Fiorentina about signing the World Cup star last summer but the 27 year-old eventually signed for Manchester United on loan. Amrabat has struggled for game time at Old Trafford, making 26 appearances for the Red Devils, and Erik ten Hag has decided not to trigger the option to buy the former Utrecht and Feyenoord midfielder.

Marco Silva is known to an admirer of Amrabat, who starred as Morocco reached the semi-finals of the World Cup in Qatar back in 2022. SportItalia suggest that Fulham have already made contact with Fiorentina about signing the defensive midfielder, with the Italians asking for around £25m for a permanent transfer. Amrabat's contract with La Viola runs until next summer, but both player and parent club are keen to move him on this year.

Fulham formulate offer to sign Sofyan Amrabat

Fulham will reportedly look to sign 56-cap Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat in a deal worth €30 million after his Manchester United flop show.
According to a report by Tutto Mercato Web, Sofyan Amrabat is the subject of interest from Fulham. The 27-year-old will leave Manchester United after his loan spell ends, having been a disastrous signing for the Red Devils. Meanwhile, the Cottagers are ready to cough up €30 million to sign him from Fiorentina in the summer transfer window.

Sofyan Amrabat and his Manchester United travails
Sofyan Amrabat has endured a horrific spell at Manchester United since arriving on loan from Fiorentina on Deadline Day of last summer's transfer window. The Red Devils have endured a dreadful 2023/24 campaign, with Erik ten Hag's tactics doing the Moroccan midfielder no favours.

The 27-year-old has managed only 1,169 minutes of game time across 23 appearances in all competitions thus far this season. While Amrabat's former FC Utrecht manager's tactics have not worked in his favour, he has also lacked conviction in his performances. So, it is hardly surprising that Manchester United will not complete a permanent move in the summer transfer window.

Amrabat is not keen on continuing his stint at Manchester United either. The 56-cap Moroccan international has grown frustrated with every passing week at Old Trafford. However, he will unlikely continue at Fiorentina beyond the summer transfer window as there is bad blood with the club after La Viola refused to sell him to Barcelona last summer. However, Fulham might give him an escape route.

London calling?
Fulham's interest in Sofyan Amrabat is somewhat surprising. With the 27-year-old not showing any signs of becoming a top Premier League midfielder, the West London club might be taking a risk. However, amid uncertainties surrounding the long-term future of Joao Palhinha, they need a potential replacement.

The report has claimed that the Cottagers are preparing a bid worth €30 million to secure Amrabat's services in the summer transfer window. The 56-cap Moroccan international's loan deal with Manchester United also contains a purchase option worth €30 million.

So, a bid in the region of that amount should be enough for Fulham to prise Amrabat away from Fulham. However, it will be interesting to see if La Viola's demands for the midfielder's transfer fee increase.

Fulham to hold 'discussions' with EFL side over future of loan man as boss shares update
Exeter City boss Gary Caldwell has said they will hold 'discussions' with Fulham over a potential loan return for Luke Harris next season.

Exeter City landed the attacking midfielder on a temporary basis in the January transfer window and he has since impressed in League One.

Harris, 19, has made 19 appearances in the league for the Grecians and has chipped in with three goals and two assists.

Caldwell has said, as per a report by DevonLive: "I think he's been a brilliant addition, the players love him, and he's fitted in really well. I think he'll be the first to tell you he loves playing for this football club.

"We will have discussions with Fulham about what is best for Luke next season, but I think he's had a big impact and I think potentially more time with us next year would be really helpful for his development."

Exeter City want Fulham loanee back
Getting Harris back would be a huge boost for Exeter City ahead of the next campaign.

The teenager has caught the eye playing under former Wigan Athletic manager Caldwell and he will be benefitting from the experience of getting regular game time.

Fulham have a big decision to make on what to do with him ahead of next term when he heads back to Craven Cottage.

His chances of breaking into their first-team in the Premier League are slim due to the abundance of top quality options that Marco Silva has at his disposal in his position. Therefore, another exit wouldn't be a bad move.

However, the Whites may want to test him at a higher level to further boost his development. If they were to send him to the third tier again, the Grecians would fancy their chances about re-signing him.

Harris has been on the books at Fulham for his whole career to date and has risen up through the academy ranks of the London club. He has been ever-present for them at various youth levels throughout the past few years and has played eight times times for their senior team.

The Jersey-born man is under contract until 2026 and has a bright future ahead of him with the Cottagers.

Exeter City have two fixtures left to get through before they can start properly preparing for the summer. They face Northampton Town away this weekend before they lock horns with play-off chasing Oxford United at home on the final day.

Fulham prepared to cash in on Carlos Vinicius this summer
Forward will have just a year left on his contract by the end of the season

Fulham will listen to summer offers for Carlos Vinicius as they consider cashing in on the striker with a year left on his contract.

The Brazilian, 29, has scored two goals in 11 appearances for Galatasaray since joining the Turkish champions on loan in January.

Vinicius scored Fulham's winner against Luton in September and was on the scoresheet in December's 5-0 win over West Ham, but Marco Silva's pecking order up front has evolved during the season and he was permitted to leave on loan.

Since then, Vinicius's chances of re-establishing himself at Fulham have taken a further hit as Rodrigo Muniz has scored eight goals in his last 11 games and was named Premier League player of the month for March.

Meanwhile, Raul Jimenez is Silva's preferred understudy to Muniz and England Under-21s striker Jay Stansfield is scoring regularly on loan at Birmingham in the Championship.

Fulham, who host title-chasing Liverpool at Craven Cottage on Sunday, are braced for summer bids for Vinicius, who joined from Benfica in 2022 on a three-year deal with Fulham retaining an option to extend it by a further year.

Silva's side are 12th in the Premier League and just two points off Brighton in 10th, the position they finished as a newly promoted side last season.

Liverpool predicted line-up vs. Fulham: Two key changes made as £100m duo handed starts
The latest team news, injury updates and predicted line-up for Liverpool ahead of their Premier League meeting with Fulham.

Liverpool will look to get their season back on track when they face Fulham in the Premier League this Sunday – and Jürgen Klopp will have plenty of options with many of his players returning to fitness ahead of the game at Craven Cottage.

They will be without Conor Bradley once again after the Northern Ireland youngster suffered an ankle ligament injury and have several long-term absentees, but key players like Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alisson are back to bolster Liverpool for the title run-in.

We've collected all of the latest team news and injury updates below and ventured our best guess at Klopp's starting line-up for Sunday's showdown with Marco Silva's mid-table side – and if you're looking for some information ahead of the Fantasy Premier League transfer deadline, you can also find our high-flying FPL coach's regular advice column right here.

Goalkeeper & Defence
Alisson is back to full fitness and back in possession of the number one jersey having come through the matches against Crystal Palace and Atalanta without issues. Alexander-Arnold likewise featured in both games after a fairly lengthy lay-off, but hasn't yet come through a full 90 minutes. He is still likely to start against Fulham but his minutes may be managed over the coming weeks with Joe Gomez a possible deputy at right-back.

Bradley, who has been so impressive as Alexander-Arnold's stand-in, has suffered damaged ankle ligaments, but the injury is not believed to be serious – Klopp compared his injury to the recent problem endured by Ryan Gravenberch and said he would probably be unavailable for another two weeks or so. Joël Matip remains out for the season thanks to an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Midfield
With Curtis Jones and Gravenberch both back to full fitness, Klopp is as close to a full slate of midfielders as he has been almost all season – and there is some further good news, with 19-year-old midfielder Stefan Bajčetić back in training after a long spell out with an adductor injury. The Spaniard was hugely impressive in his first senior season last year but hasn't played in the Premier League in 2023/24 as yet. He is unlikely to feature this weekend, however, with Liverpool carefully managing his return.

His compatriot Thiago Alcântra, sadly, remains absent after a serious hamstring injury which struck him immediately after he returned from a long lay-off after undergoing surgery on a hip problem. Liverpool have not put a timeline on his return, but he is not expected to play again this season and with his contract expiring this summer, he may have played his last match at Anfield.

Forwards
Diogo Jota is back after missing around two months of action with a damaged collateral knee ligament, although he has only made appearances from the bench since returning to fitness. With the Portuguese winger once again available, the only forward out of action is Scottish teenager Ben Doak – he is unlikely to feature again before next season thanks to a serious knee injury of his own.

Predicted line-up vs. Fulham
Alisson; Robertson, Van Dijk, Konaté, Alexander-Arnold; Endo, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai; Díaz, Núñez, Salah.

Fulham will 'listen to Vinicius offers'
Fulham will listen to offers for Carlos Vinicius this summer as the striker enters the final year of his contract, according to the Evening Standar.

The Brazilian striker joined Galatasaray on loan in January and has scored twice in eleven games in Turkey. The 29 year-old, who moved to Craven Cottage from Benfica for £5m in 2002, famously opened his Fulham account in the Whites' first SW6 derby win for seventeen years in January 2023 but struggled for game time this term even after the departure of Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Vinicius scored a vital winner over Luton Town in September and rounded off the December rout of West Ham United but his prospects of playing first-team football at Fulham next season has diminished with the remarkable emergence of compatriot Rodrigo Muniz, who won the Premier League's player of the month award for March. The former Tottenham forward is also unlikely to usurp Raul Jimenez in Marco Silva's pecking order – and there is a plausible promotion to the first-team squad for Jay Stansfield, who has scored twelve goals on loan at Birmingham City.

There is significant interest in Vinicius across the continent as well as in the Premier League. Wolves, who looked at signing him from Benfica themselves two years ago, were interested in buying the 6ft 3in striker in January – and could still be keen on doing a deal during the close season given Gary O'Neil's disenchantment at his lack of experienced forwards.

Fulham consider making €30m offer for underwhelming Manchester United loanee
Sofyan Amrabat has endured an underwhelming loan spell at Manchester United this season. The Morocco international has not performed at a high enough standard to earn a permanent switch to Old Trafford from Fiorentina.

Of course, that is purely my opinion, but I would be shocked if United kept Amrabat for next season.

Amrabat joined United on loan from Fiorentina back in September, with the Reds obtaining the option to turn his temporary stay into a permanent one.

It hasn't been an easy stint for Amrabat but he hasn't been able to nail down a place in midfield following a few appearances as a makeshift left-back.

According to Italian publication Tutto Mercato Web, Fulham are interested in signing Amrabat ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Premier League side is reportedly prepared to spend up to €30 million to bring the Moroccan to Craven Cottage.

There is always a possibility of Amrabat returning to Fiorentina at the end of his loan.

Leonard and Bowie ready for 'emotional' Sixfields farewell having 'loved every minute' at Cobblers
'I've loved every minute.'

Marc Leonard and Kieron Bowie admit it will be 'emotional' to play what it likely to be their last ever games at Sixfields on Saturday.

The young Scottish duo will return to their parent clubs Brighton and Fulham in the summer following two hugely successful years with the Cobblers. They have played nearly 200 games between them and both have been instrumental in Town's rise from League Two to mid-table in League One.

Cobblers play their final home game of the season when they host Exeter City this weekend.

"I think it will be emotional," said Leonard on the Cobblers Show on BBC Radio Northampton. "My girlfriend and parents will be there at the game and I know they'll be a bit emotional, but I've loved every minute.

"The fans have been nothing but unreal. It will be emotional on Saturday but it'll be a nice close to what has been an amazing chapter. All you want when you go on loan is to play games and to have played so many and had that trust from the manager, and also enjoyed the success we have, it's been the dream scenario.

"I feel like I am 10 times the player I was before I came here. I've gained so much experienced and I've learned so much and I couldn't put into words how much the club have done for me.

"I'll miss the lads because we're such a close group but we'll definitely stay in touch and I think we'll be tight for a good while."

Bowie added: "It's a bit strange for us to have both been here for two seasons, it's almost felt like a two-year contract, but it's part and parcel of the game and you come and go places.

"But obviously it's special to have been here for two years. The fans have given us their support and we've tried to repay that. You see a lot of loans that don't work out but it's worked out really well for both of us. We were just young lads hoping for a chance when we first came here and we got that chance and thankfully we took it and I can't thank the club enough."

Fulham vs Liverpool LIVE: Klopp must hit back from horror week to remain in title race – kick-off time, team news and how to follow
Liverpool must win against Fulham this Sunday afternoon if they want to remain in the Premier League title race.

The Reds were beaten at home to Crystal Palace last weekend and another defeat could end up seeing them fall further behind top spot.

Jurgen Klopp's side play before Manchester City, meaning if they lose and City win their game in hand the gap will widen to five points.

A win though, would keep their hopes alive and give a major morale boost to the squad ahead of the final few games of the season.

Klopp and co also exited the Europa League on Thursday night, meaning the German's exit celebrations have taken a huge hit.

The Cottagers stand in their way this weekend and they come into this game off the back of an impressive 2-0 win away at West Ham.

Fulham vs Liverpool: Klopp's 'strange' decision
Klopp's decision to announce his upcoming departure from Liverpool during the season has damaged his team's hopes of silverware.

That is the view of former Premier League manager Alan Pardew, who feels that Klopp's public announcement in January has been 'unsettling' for the players.

Speaking after the Reds' loss to Palace, Pardew said: "In terms of Klopp's decision, I just want to touch on that because, as a manager I felt that was a strange move that he did, to announce it at that time.

"I think in hindsight, whether he thinks that was the right thing when he gets to the end of the season, only he will be able to tell.

"Personally, I think he should have waited until the end of the year and maybe told the upstairs and left it at that."

Though they're unbeaten in their last five Premier League away games against Fulham (W3 D2), Liverpool haven't kept a clean sheet in any of their last eight league games at Craven Cottage since a 1-0 win in April 2009.
Fulham have won just one of their last 11 Premier League meetings with Liverpool (D2 L8), winning 1-0 at Anfield in March 2021.

Fulham vs Liverpool: Team news
Fulham are lucky enough to have a clean bill of health heading into this game.

Rodrigo Muniz is expected to keep his place up front, meaning Chelsea loanee Armando Broja and Raul Jimenez will remain on the bench.

As for Liverpool, Conor Bradley is a doubt after not travelling with the Reds squad for their Europa League clash with Atalanta.

It means Trent Alexander-Arnold will start if he is fully fit, while Diogo Jota and Alisson are back in action and should feature.

Thiago, Joel Matip and Ben Doak all remain sidelined with long-term issues.

Following their 1-0 loss to Crystal Palace last time out, Liverpool will be looking to avoid losing consecutive Premier League games for the first time since April 2023 (vs. Bournemouth and Manchester City). The Reds have suffered two league defeats in five games in London this season (W2 D1), last losing more in the capital in 2014-15 (3).
Fulham have scored 49 Premier League goals this season, having netted 55 last season. The last time the Cottagers scored 50+ goals in consecutive Premier League seasons was in 2003-04 (52) and 2004-05 (52).

Fulham vs Liverpool: What has been said?
Andy Robertson has spoken of his frustration at the fact Liverpool now have to rely on the results of their title rivals.

He said: "It's just frustrating, and now we're relying on other people. You could say it was in our hands but there was still a long way to go.

"[It's a] hugely frustrating position to be in. But this club, we don't stop fighting – we have to fight in the stands, fight on the pitch for the last six games of the Premier League.

"Let's see where it takes us. We have to stay positive. We have to pick everyone up in the changing room because there's a lot of people who are down, whether they missed a chance, gave the ball away or whatever it is.

"We pick up, we go again and we give everything we've got."

In their 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace, Liverpool had an expected goals total of 2.81, the most by a Premier League side who failed to score since Newcastle vs Crystal Palace in September 2022 (2.83). Their 55 touches in the opposition box were also the second-most by a side to not score this season, behind Arsenal against West Ham in December (77).
Since losing 3-0 to Brentford in their first home Premier League game this season, Fulham have conceded just 13 goals in their last 15 games at Craven Cottage (0.9 per game). With six clean sheets at home so far, the Cottagers last had more in a Premier League campaign in 2010-11 (9).

Fulham vs Liverpool: How to follow
This Premier League clash will take place on Sunday, April 21.

Kick-off at Craven Cottage is scheduled for 4:30pm.

The game will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League.

talkSPORT will also keep you up to date with all the latest.

Liverpool XI vs Fulham: Confirmed team news, predicted lineup and injury latest for Premier League
Reds have almost full squad available for must-win game

Liverpool are almost at full strength for their Premier League trip to Fulham on Sunday.

Jurgen Klopp went strong on Thursday night as the Reds boss attempted to overturn a 3-0 Europa League quarter final first leg defeat to Atalanta.

Almost all of Liverpool's big guns started in Bergamo but Klopp's side could only score a solitary goal – an early penalty from Mohamed Salah.

Their comeback mission failed and Sunday's shock defeat to Crystal Palace at home has left them with little more space for a slip-up in the title race.

While Thiago Alcantara, Joel Matip and Ben Doak are long-term absentees, Liverpool have almost their full compliment available.

Conor Bradley is facing a short spell on the sidelines, although Trent Alexander-Arnold's return from injury means the Northern Irish international would be unlikely to start anyway.

Alexander-Arnold has only recently come back into the fold and Klopp confirmed after the European exit that the England international was still working his way back up to full fitness.

Stefan Bajcetic has returned to action but is likely to be eased back into first-team football, such has been the extent of his injury problems.

Darwin Nunez could replace Cody Gakpo up front for Liverpool, while Wataru Endo may come back into central midfield.

Liverpool predicted XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Roberston, Endo, Mac Allister, Jones; Salah, Nunez, Diaz

Doubts: Bajcetic

Injured: Bradley, Matip, Doak, Thiago

Time and date: 4.30pm BST on Sunday 21st April, 2024

Venue: Craven Cottage

Bowie set for 'special' Sixfields farewell
Fulham forward Kieron Bowie will say goodbye to Sixfields tomorrow when he plays the final home game of a second successive loan season with Northampton Town against Exeter City.

The Scottish under-21 international was instrumental in the Cobblers' promotion from League Two last term and has been a pivotal part of Jon Brady's side in League One this season, alongside his compatriot Marc Leonard, who has also spent two seasons with Northampton on loan from Brighton.

Bowie told BBC Radio Northampton:

"It's a bit strange for us to have both been here for two seasons, it's almost felt like a two-year contract, but it's part and parcel of the game and you come and go places. But obviously it's special to have been here for two years. The fans have given us their support and we've tried to repay that. You see a lot of loans that don't work out but it's worked out really well for both of us. We were just young lads hoping for a chance when we first came here and we got that chance and thankfully we took it and I can't thank the club enough."

The former Raith Rovers forward has scored fourteen goals in 83 games for Town, adding nine assists. The 21 year-old emotional Sixfields farewell will see him pitted against his Fulham team-mate Luke Harris, who has been shining whilst on loan at Exeter in recent weeks.

Jurgen Klopp issues rallying cry to try and lift battered Liverpool dressing room
Liverpool have just the Premier League title left to fight for after exiting Europe against Atalanta and Jurgen Klopp has tried to lift his weary players for Sunday's clash with Fulham

Jurgen Klopp has tried to lift his battered Liverpool players, telling them: "We can still make it an outstanding season."

Liverpool are wounded and in the last few weeks they have seen their European and FA Cup hopes ended and their Premier League chances suffer a major blow. They face Fulham in a massive game at Craven Cottage tomorrow and Klopp says they must not dwell on these disappointments.

"What should influence us more: the last week or the chance in front of us?" said the Liverpool boss. "I'm fully of the opinion that there's a next chance for us and we can turn things around absolutely in all departments.

"We can still make it an outstanding season. It will be a good season, but of course how you look at it is massively influenced by the last part of it.

"The boys know I don't tell them things I don't believe in and I'm 100 per cent sure we can win all of the games we have from now."

Klopp knows setbacks are part of football and he wants his players to roll with the punches to get their league campaign back on track as he counts down his final games at Anfield.

Liverpool have slipped from first to third after taking just one point from their last two matches and Klopp wants to see a reaction at Fulham. "There's no season I can remember where there were no moments I thought 'Ah, we should have won that, we should have done that'," he said.

"It's part of life constantly that you have to deal with them. It's never about how many punches you get, it's always how you deal with them if you allow them. That's how we have to deal with the situation and that's what we've always done.

"If you want to be champion in the Premier League, you have to be close to perfect and if you're not perfect, you have to deal with the setbacks in the best possible way.

"We had a setback week with three games we didn't like too much, the results especially, before we beat Atalanta and now we have to start turning it around."

Liverpool took the first steps in their recovery in Bergamo and in the first half they rediscovered their old intensity before they tired.

Trent Alexander-Arnold was outstanding in his first start since February 10 and says the Reds must find their cutting edge at Fulham after managing just one Mohamed Salah penalty in their last three games.

Liverpool have little time to catch their breath and in seven days they must face Fulham, Everton and West Ham - all away.

"We need to take our chances when we get them," said Alexander-Arnold, who was forced off against Atalanta because he was knackered. "It's been difficult to take those and we've made the result too hard.

"On Sunday, we've got a huge game we need to go and win. We've got a very difficult week ahead of us. Three away games, we need to learn from the last week as quickly as possible."

'Very sad chapter' could give Fulham second shot at signing – Situation needs dealing with in summer
Fulham may be given a second shot at signing Sebastien Haller from Borussia Dortmund this summer, with a growing acceptance something needs to be done about the striker's situation with the German club.

That's according to BILD, who say the 'very sad chapter' that Haller has lived with the Bundesliga side could force an exit this summer.

They explain that Haller's days in Dortmund are probably numbered as he is currently injured and has been forced into wearing a special shoe to try and solve the problem.

It's the latest outbreak of bad luck for the striker, who is having a season to forget and is now dealing with a third ankle injury of the campaign, all in the same place.

Both he and the club are 'dissatisfied' with the situation and all signs are pointing towards a goodbye this summer as a result.

Dortmund are particularly keen to move him on as he earns €8m per year, making him one of the top earners, but has long since been overtaken by Niclas Füllkrug in Dortmund's attacking plans.

Thus, it would be good to get him off the books and both Fulham and Besiktas tried to 'make a move palatable' for him in the January transfer window.

The hope is that they come calling again and a deal can be worked out so 'a very sad chapter' in the club's history can be put into the rearview mirror.

There's no mention of an asking price at this point, but it's unlikely Dortmund would expect Fulham or anyone else to pay anything close to the €31m they paid Ajax two years ago.

Before The Whistle: Fulham v Liverpool

It feels like we've had more games against Liverpool this season than there are Fast & Furious films.

But here we are again. The last time we played the Scousers at home in the Premier League, we announced our return with a solid – and widely unexpected – 2-2 draw. Truth be told, we like to hold our own against Liverpool; we've scored five against them in the three games we've played them in so far this term. The trouble is, they scored seven.

Nevertheless, we have a chance to cement Manchester City's lead by sticking another nail in the coffin of the Jurgen Klopp farewell tour. It seems that the sheer presence of City behind them has made Liverpool and Arsenal soil themselves, and if Crystal Palace can get three points at Anfield, there's no reason we can't get a result at the Cottage.

I'd expect an unchanged side from the XI that won at the London Stadium last weekend. Lukic came in for Cairney and I feel like Silva will want to retain that option in a game where we're unlikely to have the lion's share of possession. Iwobi didn't have his best game against the Hammers, but he has credit in the bank and grabbed an assist, so he's likely to remain unmoved.

Having a fully fit squad is a rare thing; the bench last Sunday was the strongest it's looked all campaign. If we are to finally grab a W against Liverpool in our fourth attempt, Sunday certainly feels like the best opportunity to do so. You Whites.

Liverpool Matchday Preview
Fulham v Liverpool | Sunday 21st April | 4.30pm | Craven Cottage | #FULLIV

The opposition

Liverpool had harboured hopes of Jurgen Klopp's final season at the helm yielding a quadruple, but a tough month means that the Premier League is now their only chance of adding to their Carabao Cup triumph this season.
A classic FA Cup Quarter-Final at old rivals Manchester United saw them lose 4-3 in the final minute of extra-time, while they also exited the Europa League at the same stage this week, with Atalanta claiming a famous 3-1 aggregate victory.
The Reds remain very much in the fight for the title, though, despite a surprise defeat by Crystal Palace at Anfield on Sunday. That slip up has put Manchester City in control of proceedings, but there are just two points separating the sides, with 18 still to play for.

Fulham team news

Marco Silva will have a full squad to choose from.

Liverpool team news

The Liverpool matchday squad has been boosted recently by the return to fitness of some key personnel, namely Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Diogo Jota. However, they will be without Joel Matip, Conor Bradley, Thiago Alcatanra and Ben Doak.

This match has sold out.

Weather

A cloudy but dry afternoon is forecast, with temperatures around 12 degrees.

Player insight

With Fulham having scored five goals in our three previous meetings with Liverpool this season, Andreas Pereira knows his side are capable of causing the Reds problems.

"Apart from us, not many teams scored so many goals against Liverpool this season, so I think we know how to play against them.

"We have to respect they have a lot of quality, but I think we can get a good result on Sunday."

Fulham For All

At Craven Cottage, we believe in fostering a welcoming environment that celebrates the passion for football while respecting every individual. Tragedy chanting is unacceptable. Supporters are urged to report any discriminatory behaviour or tragedy chanting promptly using the Club's FULSTOP reporting service.

Tragedy chanting has sadly surfaced across football, causing distress to victims' families, and tarnishing the reputation of football clubs.

Last season alone, there were 30 incidents in the Premier League, prompting football authorities to campaign, regulate, and take decisive action against such behaviour. Our collective goal is to change the 'normalisation' of such actions and create an atmosphere where everyone feels valued and respected.

It is important for everyone to understand that those displaying acts of football tragedy-related abuse can be prosecuted as a public order offence.

We encourage all those attending this fixture to contribute to Craven Cottage's positive atmosphere and report any discriminatory abuse through the Club's free text service. Send FULHAM, along with detailed information, to 60066, helping us maintain an exciting, safe, and respectable environment for everyone.

Matchday programme

On the back of being named the Premier League Player of the Month for March, Rodrigo Muniz has spoken to the matchday programme ahead of Liverpool's visit to Craven Cottage.

Asked how he felt about winning the award, our number 19 commented: "I must thank God for everything that has happened to me over these past few months. I'm happy because it's been a lot of work, I've worked a lot in order to experience all this now. I'd also like to thank my teammates and all of the staff because, without them, this award wouldn't have been possible."

On the subject of awards, Adrion Pajaziti was named PL2 Player of the Month, and his interview with Fulham Season Ticket Holder Rhys Porter, who has recently undertaken work experience with the Club's media department, is also featured in the programme.

Priced at £4, you can pick up a copy of the programme on the day or online.

Pre-Liverpool Press Conference
Marco Silva does not expect to come up against a Liverpool side licking their wounds on Sunday afternoon.

A difficult period for the Reds has seen them exit both the FA Cup and Europa League, while they also lost ground in the title race courtesy of a 1-0 home defeat by Crystal Palace last week.

But rather than this being a good time to face Jurgen Klopp's men, Silva believes they will be as dangerous as ever when they arrive at the Cottage.

"What I know, and what I'm sure of, is that they are going to react," he explained. "We all know Liverpool, we all know that they come from a really tough result in the Premier League, of course to be out of the Europa League was really tough for them as well.

"In 10 days, they lost the chance to be in the Semi-Finals and probably to fight to be in the Final, and they lost three points that are really important for them, at Anfield which is not something that happens often.

"And we are going to face a reaction, 100 per cent sure. It's a game that is going to demand more from ourselves than if they had won the last two games. This is my clear feeling, is the way we have been preparing ourselves.

"Of course, we don't prepare ourselves depending on what is going to be the reaction, we prepare what we want to do in the game and what we expect from them, to explore some things where they are not so strong, and to be aware of the threat that they have always.

"If you ask me if I expect a more difficult game than if the game was three weeks ago – yes. If they are going to be with the same confidence, we don't know. It's not important to talk about it, but I think that we are going to face a team that is going to have a reaction, for sure."

Following our battles in the Carabao Cup Semi-Finals, Sunday will be Fulham's fourth meeting of the season with Liverpool.

The previous three have all been tight affairs, with the Reds nicking the Anfield matches by a solitary goal on each occasion, while the League Cup Second Leg ended 1-1 in SW6.

"Yes, it's true, they've been very, very good games," Silva said. "Probably some of them too open for a manager to enjoy, but yes, at Anfield and at the Cottage as well, they have been really – in some moments – emotional games, in other moments entertaining.

"Tight games always, in some of them dramatic ends of the match. Anfield played a big part in it as well, the games became more emotional. But even last season, it was really tough for them to come to play at Craven Cottage, Carabao Cup this season, too.

"And, of course, we want to make life really difficult for them, we really want to give them a match, and let's hope we can get a different result than the last games that we played against them."

Silva: 'We want to make it really difficult for Liverpool'
Marco Silva has demanded that Fulham side 'make life really difficult for Liverpool' on Sunday as the Whites look to finally record a win over the Reds after a series of enthralling encounters over the course of this season.

Liverpool have come out on top by a single goal in the two previous games at Anfield, whilst the 1-1 draw at Craven Cottage secured by Issa Diop's late-strike was not enough to the prevent Silva's side from going out at the semi-final stage of the League Cup. The Fulham head coach hopes to record an elusive win by learning from the games that have gone before.

"They've been very, very good games. Probably some of them too open for a manager to enjoy, but yes, at Anfield and at the Cottage as well, they have been really – in some moments – emotional games, in other moments entertaining. Tight games always, in some of them dramatic ends of the match. Anfield played a big part in it as well, the games became more emotional. But even last season, it was really tough for them to come to play at Craven Cottage [in the] Carabao Cup this season, too.

And, of course, we want to make life really difficult for them, we really want to give them a match, and let's hope we can get a different result than the last games that we played against them."

Silva was quick to rubbish the idea that this might be a good time to play Liverpool after they were beaten at home by Crystal Palace last weekend and went out of the Europa League to Atalanta last night.

"What I know, and what I'm sure of, is that they are going to react. We all know Liverpool, we all know that they come from a really tough result in the Premier League, of course to be out of the Europa League was really tough for them as well. In ten days, they lost the chance to be in the semi-finals and probably to fight to be in the final, and they lost three points that are really important for them, at Anfield which is not something that happens often.

We are going to face a reaction, [I'm sure]. We don't prepare ourselves depending on what is going to be the reaction, we prepare what we want to do in the game and what we expect from them, to explore some things where they are not so strong, and to be aware of the threat that they have always.100 per cent sure.
