Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz spotted in rare joint sighting as they enjoy evening at 92nd Street Y in NYC

Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz were spotted in a rare joint sighting as they enjoyed a date night in New York City this week.

The Hollywood power couple, who both hail from England, were seen emerging from the august Manhattan cultural institution the 92nd Street Y.

Bundling up in a camel-toned coat, Daniel, 54, looked a far cry from his James Bond years in a pageboy cap and a pair of spectacles.

Rachel meanwhile warded off the northeastern wintertime chill by wrapping herself in a long, boyfriend fit black coat.

The longtime couple, who have been married since 2011, had just taken in a show spearheaded by the choreographer Johnnie Cruise Mercer.

Daniel's outing comes after Eva Green recalled his famous last words that he would rather 'slash my wrists' than play Bond again - after which he did play Bond again.

Eva was Daniel's first-ever Bond girl, playing the duplicitous Vesper Lynd in the 2006 movie Casino Royale that marked his introduction to the franchise.

Daniel went on to act in five 007 films that spanned a whopping 12 years - even though in 2015, after he did his fourth, he told the Guardian that he would 'rather slash my wrists' than return to the series.

His final outing in the franchise was last year's No Time To Die, which was initially slated for a 2020 release but was repeatedly delayed on account of COVID-19.

Last month, while testifying in court about a different project, Eva said: 'There's the famous example of Daniel Craig saying: "I'd rather slash my wrists than do another Bond movie." But did he slash his wrists? No, he made another Bond movie.'

She got laughs from the public gallery with the anecdote and dished: 'I know this story because I know Daniel Craig.'

Rachel and Daniel are both notoriously tight-lipped about their life together, a decision she shed light on in a 2015 interview with MORE magazine.

'He's just too famous. It would be a betrayal. You have to protect your marriage. When you're young, you tell your girlfriends everything. One of the great pleasures of not being an adolescent is that you don't have to share everything. When you're married, that door closes. The audience goes, and you're in your own life,' she said.
