Dana Terrace

Dana Terrace (born December 8, 1990) is a director, storyboard artist, and animator, most known for creating the Disney animated series, The Owl House.

She also voices Tinella Nosa, Severine, and a younger King in "Echoes of the Past".

Career[]

Terrace graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York during the spring of 2013 and subsequently moved to Los Angeles after getting hired as a storyboard revisionist for Gravity Falls.

After finishing work on Gravity Falls, Terrace became a director on the first season of the DuckTales reboot. She later created and executive produced her own series, titled The Owl House, for Disney Channel.

After the production of The Owl House ended, Terrace left Disney after years of collaboration.^[1]

As of 2015, she was dating Alex Hirsch.^[2] However, as of April 2022, they are broken up.^[3]
Dana is bisexual.^[4]
Dana has equinophobia (a fear of horses).^[5]
Luz's home state in the Human Realm, Connecticut, is Terrace's birthplace.
The appearance and name of Amity's palisman, Ghost, is after Dana's real-life cat.
In a tweet, Dana stated that she was inspired to dye her hair green after finalizing Amity's design, because she "thought [Amity's] look was so dope."^[6]
In "Reaching Out", Luz's father passing away when she was little is a parallel of Dana's father, Thomas Terrace, who died in a car crash when she was eleven.
