Dana Hills High School Reviews
Rating 3.69 out of 5 504 reviews
My experience at Dana Hills High School was for the most part positive. Having a school near the coast allowed students to have more opportunities as it was highly funded. I am a low-income student who benefitted from having college counselors, multiple AP courses, multitude of sports and art classes that are available at Dana Hills. Additionally, Dana Hills offered vegan options at the cafeteria that I heavily appreciated. Unfortunately, most of the food options were not fully balance or very healthy. The student body planned many events with the help of admin and parents. The culture was very positive and football games fueled school spirit. On the other hand, teachers were highly skilled and offered opportunities for students to gain knowledge and improve their grades. Overall, my school experience was positive and I would recommend students to attend Dana Hills High School.
I am a 4.0 unweighted gpa student, played waterpolo, and violin. At Dana I I was able you achieve any academic endeavor that I wanted because of the great teaching staff. While going to other schools for waterpolo and for concerts, I saw my school has very minimal facilities compared to other schools in our district. Smaller, dirtier pool and basically no theater compared to the other schools. Our culture is very lively but is on the decline but that will vary depending on the year. Great school with amazing teachers.
Overall, my experience was pretty good! I am a tennis player and loved how enjoyable playing was! The overall staff and school spirit was amazing!
