I have been here probably 100 times, and there is a reason for that, you always feel like home, everybody is so friendly from the staff to the patrons at the table next to you. Their slogan is so right: Come in as a stranger, leave as a friend!
For a more quiet dinning, go to the dinning area, which has a classic British Pub look, cozy and elegantly furnished. But for the real action and I mean watching soccer games, go to the bar. Such a lively atmosphere! You can watch simultaneously more games as all their 6 TVs show a different game. Soccer fans showing the colors of their team, rooting for their favorites, chanting and having a lot of fun! It seems like everybody knows everybody and if you are new customer you will know everybody in no time.
The beer is absolutely perfect, great selection, cold and fresh. The food is the casual pub fare but some items are really outstanding. Fish here is very good, no matter if you pick the classic Fish and Chip (a local favorite) or the Fish sandwich (recommended). The Cobb salad is huge I have never seen anybody able to finish it (you can take it out for later on). Watch for their daily specials, running at a lower price than regular, Curry chicken, bangers and mash, Pot pies, etc. Their French fries (called Chips on the menu) are actually very tasty (they don't look like the frozen type), you can simply order just a side along with your beer. For a sports pub, I would definitely say that the food is awesome.
On St Patrick's day they have the bagpipers, traditional dances and live music (make reservations in time as it fills up very quickly).
Great place, all in one! I will come here as long as I continue to love soccer! For many people this is like their second home.

Need a football fix ( real football, not American). This is where you go to catch a game, have a pint, and habe some very good English food (don't worry the English are behind the bar, not in the kitchen). The Toad in on the Hole, Cornish Pasty, and Shepherds pie are great, they have burgers and non-English food as well. Live games mean English fry ups at 7am on the weekends. It can get packed during big games so call ahead to check

I went there to watch the World Cup. Cute place. Extremely nice staff AND customers. I felt super comfortable there. I'll be there again in a week to watch some more games. I even made a new friend there. :)

While visiting my uncle in Thousand Oaks, we tried a new dinner venue (at least to us). The Crown and Anchor is a typical British Pub in ambiance. The dining area and outdoor patio were sparsely utilized the evening we were there, but the bar seemed the gathering place for locals. For food, I had Kings Fish and Chips (average, typical pub food), my wife ordered the Cornish Pastie, a meat pie (again, just average, a little on the disappointing side), and my uncle ordered the “Toad-in-the-Hole” (his first, which he said was pretty good, but not good enough to order again). I thought the UK selection of beers/ales a bit wanting, so I ordered the Union Jack IPA, a brew by Firestone-Walker (excellent choice), my wife enjoyed a red ale, and my uncle chose a cider (which he rated as ‘not too bad’). At least for our first visit, we would have to say, the Crown & Anchor was a typical Pub with average food (maybe a little above average) and pretty good draught beer.

We love this pub, it's authentic food and atmosphere are hard to come by. We love the tall leather booths in the dining area that shield some of the noise from the actual bar area. However, having said that, the noise is not overwhelming or intrusive, just people having a good time while drinking a pint, nothing wrong with that mate!! The menu is large so there are many options if you're not into traditional English faire, we on the other hand are into English food and love their many choices. There are only two drawbacks, the first is what to order because there are so many good things to choose from and the other is how far away it is from where we live (approx 2 hours away). Other than that we have nothing but love for this place!!!
