D.C. Police Nab Shooting Suspect, Recover Multiple Firearms

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A man has been arrested in connection with a recent Southeast shooting that left one woman injured. The arrest occurred on Tuesday, with authorities also seizing three handguns.

On April 12, just after midnight, police responded to reports of gunfire in the 1600 block of 17th Street, Southeast. They found a female victim who was promptly taken to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect, 38-year-old Anthony Moten, Sr. of Southeast D.C., was apprehended on April 23. He faces charges of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) and is also charged with Possession of Unregistered Firearms and Ammunition following the recovery of three handguns and multiple rounds of ammunition.
