COVID-19 in Oklahoma tracker: Updates on new cases, deaths, vaccines for March 2021

As the number of COVID-19 cases and coronavirus-related deaths in Oklahoma continues to rise, you can stay up to date with the latest information for March here.
Oklahoma on Friday reported 372 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the cumulative total of Oklahoma cases to 439,149, according to the Oklahoma State Department of Health.
The Health Department on Friday reported 34 additional COVID-19 deaths, based on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's provisional death count. Oklahoma's death toll during the pandemic is 7,932 , to date.
Oklahoma on Monday opened COVID-19 vaccine eligibility to all residents over the age of 16. The move expands access to a COVID-19 vaccine to about 555,200 residents who did not fall in earlier phases of the state's vaccination plan, according to the state's estimates.
Oklahoma has distributed nearly 1.9 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines. The state has received more than 2.5 million vaccine doses.

Late Thursday, the state reported 203 COVID-19 patients in Oklahoma hospitals. The state also reported 52 patients were in intensive care, the lowest number since they started tracking it over a year ago.
