James E A great example of stop motion, every frame pays attention and nothing feels out of place. The story is creepy and cute simultaneously in a way that is hard to pull off, but it is done so masterfully. There isn't too much time explaining lore and motivations, which is to the benefit of the movie, as it focuses on its message and getting things done, which is refreshing. The voice cast is stellar and the actors all play their parts well. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/17/24 Full Review Patrisha l I loved this movie so i bought it on bluray ive watched it at least 10 times Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/16/24 Full Review Alec C Enter a world where your dreams come true and become your most terrible nightmares! Coraline is less then thrilled about their new home in a run-down housing complex, until she discovers a doorway to an alternate world where she can do whatever she wants, but she soon learns that there is a darkness of the fantasy plane and it won't let her go. Whimsical and eerie at the same time, Laika's first outing puts the "dark" in dark fantasy with impressive animation and impressive voice-acting! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/15/24 Full Review Waylon It's a great first kids horror movie! When I first watched it gave me the jidders! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/05/24 Full Review Lennon B Probably my favorite stop motion film Laika has put out. I just LOVE films that drip with an ominous tone and atmosphere. Story is engaging from beginning to end. Is not predictable upon first watch. Let's not forget, the soundtrack! It is what really sews the film altogether. I am glad this movie is being held in such high esteem now. People were just not ready for it in 2009! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/29/24 Full Review Ethan M I really like the story of this movie, I like the "other" world a lot and is a really great movie. A really good experience, would recommend.
