People do odd things when grieving. Some reminisce, others tear their clothes. And, some go numb. What do you do when your sister dies, her baby thrives and you haven't a clue about parenthood? Grandmother's want to protect their adult children, often believing wisdom trumps rightful action. Unknown fathers do come out of the woodwork. In a time of 'Me' orientation, can doing the right thing be, the right thing to do?
This film isn't about a rags to riches romance or the superficial lady in red or .....It's about life choices that broadside us out of nowhere while we're worrying about something else. When faced with a shocking reality, confirming my tomorrows will be significantly different, and yesterday's truths can't be depended upon as building blocks. They just aren't true anymore, how do I survive?
New challenges, create new questions and concerns, often pale in comparison to our old reality. We stop in our tracks. The new reality screams, sits in the bleachers, waiting for a good play, sound decisions with big consequence,. With no training and little time. How do we respond?
Look deeper as you watch this quite film. Yeah. There are technical goofs. Dirty water in clean stream Alaska. Unrealistic photographs. But, life is never film. Film can be a jigsaw puzzle of life with flexibility to arrange pieces in spaces initially never designed to fit. The take away........ If faced with similar circumstances, what would I do? This story asks the viewer to step back, think about who I am, how do I make choices and what do I know to be true?
