Hello! I would like to ask you if someone knows contemporary pieces - 20 century for violin and piano for chamber music. Thank you in advance!
Pianist and composer Tigran Hamasyan is a musical visionary. He brings improvisational jazz, folk music from his native country Armenia, and electronic elements together, blending them with his amazing piano talent. Hamasyan’s music and performances have garnered critical acclaim and awards from NPR to jazz festivals across the world. His next project “The Bird of a Thousand Voices” will be released in June and may be his next award-winning work. Catch his performance at LPR this Tuesday, March 19! Few tickets remain here:
Dawn Richard and Spencer Zahn will create an ambient atmosphere at LPR in NYC on March 8 with the one-night-only performance of their collaborative album, “Pigments.” The duo pull from jazz and neoclassical with sax, clarinet, and strings, and mix it with electronic music under Richard’s vocals. The album explores finding yourself through dance and self-expression while sonically playing with principles of open space and motion. Tickets for the ambient experience are still available here:
Tony Ann is a solo pianist with orchestra-sized ideas. With this modern combination and his“# playthatword” series online, he introduced younger generations to classical music and neoclassical ideas. Using the alphabet written on his keyboard, Ann created original compositions based on words pitched to him by his audience with many of these pieces released officially. Tony Ann has also lent his artistry to popular music with songwriting collaborations and his time as The Chainsmokers’ touring keyboardist.
Tony Ann will bring his fusion of new and old classical stylings to LPR for two shows on 5/23. Tickets are moving quickly for both shows, so grab your tickets here!
