Leeds United ace Roberts injury update emerges v Southampton

Leeds United defender Connor Roberts injury update emerges ahead of Southampton

Leeds United defender Connor Roberts could be returning to full training ahead of the Southampton game, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that while there is a slim possibility of him being ruled out for the season in the event of a setback, there is a likelihood of his imminent return.

Daniel Farke hoped on 19 April that he would be back for the game against Saints which is on Saturday, 4 May.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds NewsBrar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Roberts:

His day to day will be progressive mobility, strength, neuromuscular control and treatment to alleviate pain until he can handle more sport-specific activity.

If things do worsen or there’s a setback, it’s possible he could miss the season, but that’s a slim possibility.

However, given the updates coming from the club, they expect him back in May so if he’s on course, he could return to training next week as well.

Connor Roberts unlikely to start for Leeds United

Leeds would greatly benefit from having Roberts back in contention after his injury layoff.

His contributions, including a goal and an assist from the full-back position, showcase his impact on the field.

However, it is unlikely that he will start immediately after such a prolonged injury layoff and is likely to play second fiddle to Sam Byram until the end of the season.
