Official Rangers partner reacts as star man in race to be fit for new season

Official club partner reacts to ‘Disastrous’ Rangers injury news as Connor Goldson update emerges

Rangers star Connor Goldson is in a race to be fit for the new season after an injury ruled him out for 10 weeks, according to Michael Beale.

The central defender is suffering with an issue that hasn’t been revealed by the Rangers boss, but he is set to be out for a couple of months now and will miss the final games of the season.

And reacting to the news on their official Twitter account (21 May), official club partner Four Lads Had A Dream admitted that injuries this season have been “disastrous”.

“Michael Beale confirms Connor Goldson is injured and will miss the next ten weeks,” they wrote.

“Inconsequential this season but race to have him back for start of next season now on.

“Injuries this season have been disastrous.”

Horror

A big problem this season has definitely been the performances on the pitch, but they definitely haven’t been helped by the ridiculous injuries we’ve suffered with.

Every key player except for James Tavernier has missed an extended period of time during this campaign, and while it isn’t an excuse the team simply haven’t been able to cope.

Goldson being out now isn’t an issue because there is nothing left to play for and gives young Leon King an opportunity to play regularly, but if he isn’t 100% fit for the start of the new season that is an issue.

Beale admitted that he will be looking to strengthen that position on the pitch but there’s no doubt that person will likely be competing to play next to Goldson rather than instead of him.

10 weeks takes us to the first week of August which is when the new season is likely to begin, so Rangers will need to be well prepared to start off without him.
