Bensley Recreation Center
Located at Bensley Park in South Chesterfield, Bensley Recreation Center offers youth, adults and older adults a variety of programs, including high and low aerobics, belly dancing, card groups, craft classes, karate, pilates, music classes, cardio kickboxing, learning seminars and technology classes.
Beulah Recreation Center
Bensley Recreation Center offers youth, adults and older adults a variety of programs, including active lifestyle programs (for ages 50+), therapeutic recreation programs, fitness classes, Tai Chi and an open gym. The center also functions as administrative headquarters for the Parks and Recreation department, with offices for approximately 30 staff members.
Mayes-Colbert Ettrick Recreation Center
Located at Ettrick Park in North Chesterfield, Mayes Colbert Recreation Center offers youth, adults and older adults a variety of programs, including community groups, craft classes, fitness, karate, morning mixer, seasonal special events, summer camp, tot programs, therapeutic programs and wellness seminars. County residency or membership is not required to participate in the programs.
Stonebridge Recreation Center
Located in North Chesterfield, Stonebridge Recreation Center offers youth, adults and older adults a variety of programs, including arts and crafts, beginner line dancing, chair fitness, luncheons, summer camps, Tai Chi, technology lectures, youth and 50+ karate, drop-in badminton and volleyball.
Adverse Weather Policy for Indoor Facilities
If Chesterfield County Schools are closed, all parks and recreation facilities will be closed and all activities will be canceled. If Chesterfield County Schools open late, all parks and recreation facilities will open at that designated time. All activities scheduled before opening will be canceled unless otherwise noted. If Chesterfield County Schools close early, all parks and recreation facilities will close at that designated time. Activities scheduled after the closing will be canceled.
Listen for closings and late openings on your local TV and radio stations.
Should adverse weather occur outside the Chesterfield County Public Schools schedule decisions to close or open late will be made by staff and information regarding the status of facilities or activities will be available by calling the appropriate facility phone number or the Parks and Recreation Department at 804-748-1623.
