Is it too hot?!
Okay so I’m panicking a little bit. My apartment complex doesn’t turn the AC on until temps are above 40 degrees at night for 2 weeks. Today was an 80 degree day and my bedroom where baby sleeps is reading 76 degrees. I have her in a tank top onesie and her love to dream swaddle but I’m worried about her getting too hot. We have 2 fans going and the window open. I’m honestly terrified to fall asleep.
I had to get a new unit and I slept in our living room with my girl for the time being. If you can a wet towel on a chair behind the fan does wonders to help cool down!!
I live in Florida and keep my house at 75 or 76 when we go to sleep at night with the ceiling fan going. I put him in a long sleeve onesie and a light cotton sleep sack or just a footie pajama. As long as the back of the neck doesn’t seem too hot baby is probably fine!
I also stressed about this during Australian summer however while also running fans and dressing her appropriately I also had to also tell myself plenty of babies in the rest of the world don’t have air conditioning and in places like South Asia it’s never below 28degrees Celsius even at night there! Sounds like you’re doing all the right things already mama!
