While bombing a railway at Roen, the bomber of Col. Hobey Jabko is hit and crashes. Jabko is considered missing in action since his whereabouts is unknown. A couple of months later, a man is shot in the front by Lt. Hanley's squad and before dying, he identifies himself as Lt. Tafe and tells where Jabko is. Lt. Hanley is assigned to rescue Col. Jabko in a French farm. The driver Gallard from the French underground takes Hanley, Caje, Braddock and Fergus hidden in his truck. When they stop at a German barrier, Fergus is wounded by a German soldier. When they arrive at the farmhouse, Col. Jabko learns that Lt. Tafe was killed by Hanley's squad and becomes irritated with him. Hanley learns that Denise, who is the farmer's niece, is in love with Jabko and does not want to let him go. Meanwhile Gallard returns to the farm and tells that there is an informer in the Maquis. Who might be the traitor?
