- Bill BBel Air, MD17,955 contributionsDuring this sunny spring day, Lake Kittamaqundi provided a peaceful setting for walking, fishing, or contemplating. There are benches well placed along the waterfront. Interestingly, no one was on the well maintained pier. The surrounding buildings and forests reflected nicely on the lake surface. Underneath were great green globs of unappealing algae, but the ducks, geese, and fish did not seem to mind. Evening entertainment referred to as "Lake Front Live" was promised on numerous signs. The center is sparkling clean, interactive, and had some live animals (frog, turtles, and snake (we didn't get to see them this time around). Our visit was short since we had reservations elsewhere, but we would definitely come back. There are outside trails and a playground that we didn't get to. Nice gift shop at the entrance as well. We came right when it opened at 9am, and it was nice to have the place to ourselves for the first 30 min.

Joe was amazing what I could hear, Fantasia was super amazing very energetic and professional, she is a great entertainer, again what I could hear over the music. I asked people around me if they felt the same way they all agreed music over shadow the artist voices. This is the 2nd yr on a row that this happened. Please fix this Problem. Overall, The Merriweather Jazz fes is usually very nice and on point for entertaining, outdoor space, vendors, nice event. Spectacular food, wonderful service as well. Plenty of parking. Something for everyone, even the most finicky of eaters. My wife enjoyed a salad with huge shrimp on top. We split the poutine which was excellent! I had the chicken breast sandwich. We both left knowing that we will be back again. I highly recommend this place. The owner gave us a tour and we got to taste and sample five of their liquors. The spiced rum was our favorite! They are working on expanding their distillery area as well as the bar area. Looks like a great place for people to rent out for a party or work event. They don't offer food here but there is a food truck outside that sells pizzas. The wait staff is friendly and helpful. I am not much of a beer drinker and she helped me pick out one I might like.
