I normally don't like movies that jump around between stories like this, but it kind of worked here. Some of the plots were more interesting and flushed out than the rest, so it was beneficial that it didn't hang on one for too long. I enjoyed seeing the same actors playing many different roles through out the film. I thought the main cast did a great job as a whole, with a special shoutout to Jim Broadbent who was an absolute delight. The film was a little confusing at the beginning, but once it got going I was really engaged in the story.

Not the typical Tom Hanks movie. But it does something good, has an excellent story and telling, good acting and excellent setting/location. It can definitely be recommended, but it is a film on its own, this is not a fil good film, not all the way through and in conclusion it must be mentioned that you have to be able to keep track of the different stories, which are among well together. A fantastic movie

Never have I been so compelled to disagree with critics and audience reviewers alike who claim this movie isn't genius. It's a superb and masterful set of stories woven together as a beautiful whole. While the book was of course, more substantial, the film does a very good job at doing it justice. Supremely acted and wonderfully directed. Criminally underrated!
