Can you believe that it's been nearly 18 years since Cleopatra bounced onto our stereos and screens with their CITV series Comin' Atcha?

The sibling trio - consisting of Cleo, Zainam and Yonah Higgins - achieved three Top 10 hits in the UK, supported the Spice Girls at their 150,000 capacity Wembley Stadium show, and even had their own Disney Channel special, after being signed up by Madonna to her Maverick record label.

However, despite having legions of fans across the globe (including Azealia Banks, y'know), the group were dropped by the label in 2001 before they could release their second studio album in the UK. Here's what happened next.

Immediately after her time in the group, Cleo turned Bond girl in 2002, covering 'For Your Eyes Only' on ITV's tribute show Songs of Bond. However, it wasn't enough to bag her a major deal so soon after her massive popularity as part of Cleopatra.

A proper solo single, titled 'Feelin' Like This', followed five years later, along with a support slot on Girls Aloud's tour of the UK. Then in 2009, Cleo told Digital Spy that she was "working on a soulful rock album in Germany". But unfortunately it was all a little too late for the comeback she should've had.

That didn't deter Cleo though, and in 2013 she made her mainstream return on The Voice UK. Coached by will.i.am after a storming rendition of Beyoncé's 'Love On Top', she was finally eliminated in the semi-final stages of the competition. Since then she has bagged herself a role in Thriller: The Musical, and is currently touring Europe with the Michael Jackson stage show.

ZAINAM

The oldest of the three sisters, Zainam kept a low profile immediately after Cleopatra were dropped by their Warner Music record label back in 2001. She did reunite with the group for ITV's Hit Me Baby 1 More Time in 2005 though, where pop acts of yesteryear competed for the chance to release a double A-side single in the UK.

After that, Zainam made a brief appearance as the mystery guest on BBC Two's Never Mind The Buzzcocks in 2007, before re-forming with Cleopatra a second time in 2008-9 for a handful of shows. This coincided with the group's bid to relaunch as part of Living TV's reality series Pop Goes The Band.

The reunion came with a sexier new look, but ultimately the makeover didn't pay off. "The people who we were working with at the time didn't know what the heck they were doing," Zainam said after the experience. "I think we just took ourselves on with the wrong team."

YONAH

The youngest of the group, after her time in the band Yonah turned her attention to teaching street dance and cheerleading in deprived areas of Manchester. It's something that she still does to this day. It followed the star earning herself a diploma in health and social care back in 2012.

With all three members of Cleopatra being sisters, they have stuck together over the years and haven't lost contact at all. This means that the group never truly split up. Evidence of this came last year when the trio made an appearance on Channel 5's Big Brother's Bit On The Side. As you can see from their Instagram post at the time, they can still rock those dungarees.
