Digitally remastered two CD set containing a pair of albums by the British vocalist. Features Cilla's only dance remixes album Cilla All Mixed Up and the 2009 edition of her Beginnings album. Cilla All Mixed Up is an upbeat compilation of club re-interpretations of Cilla Black songbook classics that span the breadth of her record-breaking recording career from the 1960s to the 2000s. The celebratory collection includes no less than four productions by the preeminent club remix team Almighty who were renowned for their work with Cher, Jennifer Lopez, Pink, Elton John, Whitney Houston and Kylie. Beginnings: Revisited is the re-versioned 2009 re-issue of Cilla Black's 2003 album Beginnings... (Greatest Hits and New Songs) that had marked Cilla's 40 years as a singer by augmenting a bouquet of all-new recordings with the best known of her back catalog hits. All of these re-worked versions of Cilla's final recordings, alongside the alternate versions of these songs, have never before appeared on CD. Also included is Cilla's re-recording of her Lennon & McCartney hit 'Step Inside Love'. The two albums are issued with a 32 page booklet richly illustrated with photographs and including an interview with Cilla.

This is a must have for Cilla fans! First of all, a big thank you for, ' Cilla all mixed up,' I have the mp3 download but had to have the hard copy on disc.
It's a cracking dance album with outstanding dance mixes of some classic Cilla songs and some outstanding covers Cilla did throughout her recording career.
'Anyone who had a heart,' 'Step inside love,' 'Something tells me,' 'A fool am I,' and 'Baby we can't go wrong,' are treated with respect and given excellent makeovers to give them the treatment for the dance floor. Cilla s vocals are outstanding on these tracks.
'I don't know how to love him,' 'Your song,' and many more are given the same treatment and don't they sound brilliant!
Two excellent new songs covered in 2003 make fantastic dance numbers, 'Kiss you all over,' and 'Beautiful Goodbye,' which should have been a single are outstanding. If you love dance music and a bit of Cilla you will not be disappointed!
'Beginings Revisited,'
I love this, I bought the original when it had the hits entwined, but it's brilliant all alone.
The revisited version was remixed in 2009 and it is well worth it.
The outstanding, 'Beautiful Goodbye,' as I say should have been a single, there are a few versions on here and they all rate very highly.
Tittle song, 'Beginings,' sounds better than the original mix, it's a beautiful song sang so lovely by Cilla.
Cilla doesn't belt it out like the old days, but for some it's perfect, I love both Cilla's!
There is not one song I don't like and some suit Cilla so well.
'This Kiss,' 'If you could read my mind,' and 'Photograph,' which was written for Cilla by Ringo but he decided he would record it!
There are outstanding versions of 'Imagine,' one with Cliff Richard doing backing vocals, but for me the orchestral version is so heavenly and somewhat touching it takes your breath away.
This two CD package is well worth the price, oh and a 32 page booklet tops it off with unseen rare pics of Cilla.

These two albums were released nearly 10 years ego BUT only as digital downloads. Finally Cilla's son, Robert Willis, is over seeing a fantastic series of double Cd's featuring the amazing backcatalogue of Cilla Black. The albums from the 1970's have never, amazingly, had a CD reissue. The quality of these first two is excellent, great book, photography and information on Cilla as a recording artiest.

who would have thought , glad to have the physical copy now as the remix album had been down load only , grwat 2 album combo too and a dam good price great delivery tempted to get them all as they come out Sherroo may be next , happy

I purchased this cd on download back in 2009 and I loved it. Its somewhat more special to have a physical copy in your hands, Great linear notes and photos and more to come.. I cant wait, Thank you cherry red and Robert.
