5.0 out of 5 starsWish we had more music with this much depth and scope in popular music today

I wish Rachel Fuller had not become domestically comfortable and would make more records. I was astounded when I heard this record some 13 years after it was made. She is much more interesting than you would think. She is not just some rock star's girlfriend. There is a lot to her writing, her playing, her arranging. This record blew me away. In a way I can see why she isn't making records in this climate of auto tuned faces that look good and sing cookie cutter songs that are so cliche my niece could have written them when she was 11 (thirteen years ago). The other alternative is women who can sing their butts off who sing songs that are so shallow it makes them look as if they are on the same level as Taylor Swift (who is helpless without pitch correction and won't admit it) or Miley Cyrus (so shallow they would be out of their depth in a parking lot puddle). Rachel Fuller is on the level with clever writers from the past like Kate Bush, Sandy Denny, Linda Thompson, Joni Mitchell, Carly Simon and Carole King who knew how to craft a lyric in their own individual way. Wish we had more like her today.
